11th Inversion [Vine/Action]

[It's a bright, beautiful day in the Gardens. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, yet the Vine shows one very soaked Akiha Tohno. In fact, it seems to be raining on Akiha, plastering her white blouse to her torso (sadly she's flat as a board so it's not like it shows anything other than the lines of her camisole) and water drips off her hair. She's also, surprise, glaring at the mirror.]

If anyone needs me, I'll be out about the Gardens today and not at the mansion.


[For anyone looking for Akiha or just crossing paths with her, she's fairy easy to spot with the little black raincloud hanging over her everywhere she goes, constantly showering her with rain.]

[Well, Akiha really wasn't going to protest more than a token amount anyways. Katina will find her around the Veridian Pavilion, sitting on the steps with a couple pokemon playing in the puddle the rain cloud has created about her.]

[ Katina wouldn't have listened at this point.

She spots Akiha pretty easily by the cloud and the crowd of strange and cute things that don't really seem at all fitting around her. ]

Oi! Little guys, the water park's closing.

[Hey, Akiha gets along... sort of with Lambda's Hoppip. Sort of.

Half the pokemon notice and scamper off, the other half are just content to play. Akiha just watches them apathetically.]

That... blueish one doesn't listen to anyone.

[ She need something more elegant. Like a Gardevoir.

...Katina walks up slowly, sitting just outside of where the rain is falling, looking down at the Pokemon. ]

That so? Wish we were better with this kind of thing.

I gave up trying to get it to go away. I swear, these things are impervious to intimidation. Or yelling. Or... anything.

[Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.]

I couldn't bring myself to force it away. [Or kill it.]

They're pretty cute, right? Even I can't just kick something like that.

[ She scoots closer, directly into the precipitation, and puts an arm around Akiha. ]

You'd have to be heartless to kick that thing.

[Akiha automatically leans her head against Katina.]

I'm tired of being rained on. This thing just needs to go away. I'm so cold.

It's lucky neither of us are heartless.

[ Good. That makes it easy to hold Akiha against her. ]

I'll either warm you up, or be cold with you.

Most likely you'll be cold and I'll be slightly less cold. Which is a slight improvement. For me.

...I'm angry Sion's gone.

[She doesn't sound angry.]

[ She glances over at Akiha. Maybe she doesn't sound mad, but she's obviously pretty down. ]

Didn't get much of a chance to see what she's like for myself.

She's an alchemist. A scientist. Very intelligent and analytical. She also doesn't tolerate stupidity. [Akiha isn't sure if Sion would've liked Katina. Probably not.]

She's also very accomplished. One of my few actual friends. [She holds up her hand to show Katina the gold bangle on it.] She gave me this.

I was going to have her make an engine for your robot.

Ah, I know the type. When you've got as many experimental weapons around you as I do, they're hard to avoid.

[ Katina looks at the bit of jewelry. ] Sounds like a nice friend to have, though. Would've been nice if she'd stuck around, though she's better off like this.

[It doesn't exactly look like normal jewelry. Definitely too thick. like it might be containing something...]

Yeah. I suppose she is. At least I don't have to deal with her and Kris fighting over the basement.

[ Mysterious jewelry, given by an alchemist to someone like Akiha? Not any more out of the ordinary than the people involved. ]

[Akiha frowns at the poke and looks up at Katina, cheeks a bit red.]

[ Katina responds with a grin, of course. ]

{Akiha scowls. That wasn't what the 'shut up' had been about.]
