11th Inversion [Vine/Action]

[It's a bright, beautiful day in the Gardens. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, yet the Vine shows one very soaked Akiha Tohno. In fact, it seems to be raining on Akiha, plastering her white blouse to her torso (sadly she's flat as a board so it's not like it shows anything other than the lines of her camisole) and water drips off her hair. She's also, surprise, glaring at the mirror.]

If anyone needs me, I'll be out about the Gardens today and not at the mansion.


[For anyone looking for Akiha or just crossing paths with her, she's fairy easy to spot with the little black raincloud hanging over her everywhere she goes, constantly showering her with rain.]

I'll move and you can take care of your own hair. [That takes Katina like five minutes max to do, right?]

[ Five minutes? She's taken entire showers faster. ]

Oh, okay. Can I just use your shampoo?

[And Akiha is not surprised...]

[ Squirt a blob of shampoo. Mash into hair thoroughly. Rinse just as thoroughly.

Repeat. ]

[ritsu_kouyou]

[Akiha just watches this with a bewildered look. How can anyone just do that... But then again, it is Katina.]

And that's it?

[ Unfazed, she shrugs. ]

Soldier habits are hard to break, and I didn't put much time into it before anyways.

[She reaches up to move aside a piece of Katina's hair.]

I suppose not. Move aside.

...what other soldier habits do you have?

Waking up early, eating fast, I feel weird if I don't get enough exercise. I'm a pilot, though, so I don't have the same reflexes as infantry.

Eating fast is bad for your health. [And Katina already knows Akiha gets up at 5am.] You should slow that down a bit.

[She steps under the water again, slowly rinsing the conditioner from her hair.] It'll improve your manners, too. Eating like a ravenous beast isn't attractive.

Yeah, yeah, so's pissing off the CO.

[ Watching Akiha rinse her hair, instead of staring at her body this time. ] I can work on it if you want though.

What's a CO? And as long as you don't chew with your mouth open and swallow before talking, I suppose I can live with the rest.

Commanding officer, whoever's in charge of you. I don't have much to worry about in that regard when I'm in space, since Captain Lefina's kinda timid.

That seems like an undesirable trait for a commanding officer.

It sure as hell is, but there was a shortage of officers so they had to assign her a command fresh out of the academy, and she's smart enough to make it work anyways.

[Finally gets all the conditioner out.]

...do you want to try to apply the oil to my hair or leave it for me?

Eh, small crew so I end up handling most of the discipline anyways.

Anything more difficult about applying that than the other stuff?

It requires precision and applied only at my scalp and the ends of my hair.

Uuuh... how about you do it.

[Akiha takes the smaller bottle of oil She puts small amounts on her finger tips and massages the oil in carefully to her scalp. She then puts it on the ends. This process takes a bit of time.]

[ Yeah it does, and Katina's glad she didn't do it - if only because messing it up would suck. ]

So what's it do?

[ritsu_kouyou]

Helps prevent split ends and strengthens my hair at the scalp. Since I have so much hair, it gets heavy and this prevents me from... [shedding] losing hair frequently during brushing.

Ah, that makes sense, I know a pilot with long hair who has a problem with that.
