11th Inversion [Vine/Action]

[It's a bright, beautiful day in the Gardens. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, yet the Vine shows one very soaked Akiha Tohno. In fact, it seems to be raining on Akiha, plastering her white blouse to her torso (sadly she's flat as a board so it's not like it shows anything other than the lines of her camisole) and water drips off her hair. She's also, surprise, glaring at the mirror.]

If anyone needs me, I'll be out about the Gardens today and not at the mansion.


[For anyone looking for Akiha or just crossing paths with her, she's fairy easy to spot with the little black raincloud hanging over her everywhere she goes, constantly showering her with rain.]

Eating fast is bad for your health. [And Katina already knows Akiha gets up at 5am.] You should slow that down a bit.

[She steps under the water again, slowly rinsing the conditioner from her hair.] It'll improve your manners, too. Eating like a ravenous beast isn't attractive.

[ Watching Akiha rinse her hair, instead of staring at her body this time. ] I can work on it if you want though.

What's a CO? And as long as you don't chew with your mouth open and swallow before talking, I suppose I can live with the rest.

Commanding officer, whoever's in charge of you. I don't have much to worry about in that regard when I'm in space, since Captain Lefina's kinda timid.

That seems like an undesirable trait for a commanding officer.

It sure as hell is, but there was a shortage of officers so they had to assign her a command fresh out of the academy, and she's smart enough to make it work anyways.

[Finally gets all the conditioner out.]

...do you want to try to apply the oil to my hair or leave it for me?

Eh, small crew so I end up handling most of the discipline anyways.

Anything more difficult about applying that than the other stuff?

It requires precision and applied only at my scalp and the ends of my hair.

Uuuh... how about you do it.

[Akiha takes the smaller bottle of oil She puts small amounts on her finger tips and massages the oil in carefully to her scalp. She then puts it on the ends. This process takes a bit of time.]

[ Yeah it does, and Katina's glad she didn't do it - if only because messing it up would suck. ]

So what's it do?

Helps prevent split ends and strengthens my hair at the scalp. Since I have so much hair, it gets heavy and this prevents me from... [shedding] losing hair frequently during brushing.

Ah, that makes sense, I know a pilot with long hair who has a problem with that.

As long as mine?

Not as long, but it's got a lot of volume.

[Akiha lets water run through her hair again before turning to face Katina. Her hands come to rest on the older woman's hips.]

I'm done with my hair now. We can get out anytime we want...

[ Hands resting over Akiha's shoulders, she moves a little closer. ]

Whenever we want to get out, huh?

Mhmm... The water won't force us out; I made it so there's always hot water.

This magic thing just seems more useful every day.

As much as I hate to admit it...

[Akiha shifts closer, hands sliding from Katina's hips up her back.]

Side effects aside, it's very convenient.

It's not so bad at times like this.

[ Leaning in, she kisses Akiha on the forehead. ]

How long do you want to stay in here where it's so very warm?

[ And now that Akiha mentions it, she's all the more aware of it.

Passing out would be kind of a pain in the ass I guess, so maybe we really should get out soon.
