11th Inversion [Vine/Action]

[It's a bright, beautiful day in the Gardens. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, yet the Vine shows one very soaked Akiha Tohno. In fact, it seems to be raining on Akiha, plastering her white blouse to her torso (sadly she's flat as a board so it's not like it shows anything other than the lines of her camisole) and water drips off her hair. She's also, surprise, glaring at the mirror.]

If anyone needs me, I'll be out about the Gardens today and not at the mansion.


[For anyone looking for Akiha or just crossing paths with her, she's fairy easy to spot with the little black raincloud hanging over her everywhere she goes, constantly showering her with rain.]

Then you'll see me within twenty-five years of us leaving this place. Though, if I have to time travel, I might be able to make it earlier if you don't mind me being middle-age.

[Akiha runs her hands along Katina's upper arms, over her shoulders and then down her back, only to come back to rest on her shoulders.]

As long as you're still like this, I won't care if you're middle-aged.

[ Katina flexes just a little, grinning. This girl really makes it hard not to want to show off. ]

Trust me, you don't have to worry about that. I like being like this way too much.

[Akiha has an appreciation for strength obtained through normal human means. It shows dedication and a lack of laziness.]

You wear it well. Now that you'll be living with me, sometime when you feel restless and decide to do a full workout... Come see me before you bathe.

[She runs her tongue over one pronounced canine.]

[ Katina has an appreciation for being appreciated, and Akiha's request... saying something like that is damn near enough to make her want to pounce right now. ]

Hehe, oh, if I'm feeling a little... restless... then I'll make sure to come just as I am.

Just remember to finish that workout first. I'll be very disappointed if you cut it short.

I don't cut my workouts short unless there's an emergency, and I get right back to it when it's over.

[ Except when she can better entertain herself making the rookies work out. ]

[Akiha glances up, finally noticing the lack of rain.]

It's gone.

You only just noticed?

[ Katina only just noticed too. ]

My mind was elsewhere...

Glad I could be such a good distraction, then. If it's not coming back, you wanna get home and dry off?

I want to go home and take a shower so hot it'll turn my skin pink.

I could use a shower too, you know.

[ With a cheeky grin. ]

[This requires a moment of a furrowed brow for Akiha to 'get it'. Her cheeks color a little.]

...can you handle the heat? I'm not kidding about it turning my skin pink.

Can I handle it? I've taken showers as cold as the arctic and hot as the Saharan. If it turns us pink, so be it.

[She looks down, cheeks burning now.]

Then... you may... join me.

Thank you. I'd love to.

[ Cuddling, snuggling, and holding Akiha tightly for a moment, before letting her go and holding out a hand to help her up. ]

[That very affectionate moment before Akiha took Katina's hand and made it to her feet was very much needed. There was something about this... this idea of sharing a shower that weirdly felt more intimate to her than sex.

She wasn't sure how to handle the feeling, so she kept a hold on Katina's hand. Regardless, she was cold and needed the heat of the shower badly.]

[ Sex is something that plenty of people who barely know each other do with each other. Showering together, though, is more of a couple's activity, and Katina realizes this. Maybe it's not the best idea, then, but she can't resist.

Smiling, she holds Akiha's hand firmly. ]

[Akiha still, STILL, insists that she's not in a relationship. Yes, she's involved with Katina, with Kris, but she was stubborn and refusing to admit that it was more than that. Leaving for a year (to her) and coming back made her realize how important the two women were to her, and how much she missed certain things. And not just the sex.]

We need to go in through the back so we can grab a towel from the laundry room to dry off. No dripping on the carpet.

[ Katina's gotten that much figured out, but is putting off thinking about it too hard until she has to. Just too many complications otherwise. ]

Drying off so we can take a shower. I guess that's fancy living for you.

You'll get used to it. [a small smile] But not too used to it.

I'm sure you'd hate if I turned out all elegant and proper some day.

I don't believe that is ever in the realm of fantasy, much less possibility.

Well jeez, thanks for the vote of confidence. I guess it's closer to horror than anything, though.
