11th Inversion [Vine/Action]

[ritsu_kouyou]

[It's a bright, beautiful day in the Gardens. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, yet the Vine shows one very soaked Akiha Tohno. In fact, it seems to be raining on Akiha, plastering her white blouse to her torso (sadly she's flat as a board so it's not like it shows anything other than the lines of her camisole) and water drips off her hair. She's also, surprise, glaring at the mirror.]

If anyone needs me, I'll be out about the Gardens today and not at the mansion.


[For anyone looking for Akiha or just crossing paths with her, she's fairy easy to spot with the little black raincloud hanging over her everywhere she goes, constantly showering her with rain.]

[ It's a bit vexing that she can't do anything about that - if she doesn't plan on being around another fifty years, just how long will she have to live for those things worth living for? Her hands slide around more, pulling Akiha into an embrace. ]

I'll be glad to spend some of that life on you, too.

[Akiha rests her head on Katina's chest, fully accepting the embrace. She bites her bottom lip and just nods her head, making an affirming sound in the back of her throat. She hates that a part of her really wants to cry right then.

Because she knows Katina will forget when she goes home.]

[ In the back of her mind, from what she's heard, Katina knows it's likely. The hope she has is that if they break themselves out, altogether, instead of the random shuffling that happens at times... then maybe.

Forgetting something like this is too much to think about. ]

Hey, we've got here right now anyways.

[ritsu_kouyou]

We do...

[One more moment of taking solace in those arms and Akiha gathers herself to pull away.]

And we're going to turn into prunes soon. I need to wash my hair.

[grandtheftmecha]

Eh, it happens.

[ ...so what do sentimental moments like that mean anyways? Katina wonders about that sometimes. ]

Want me to help with your hair or wash your back?

[ritsu_kouyou]

[Katina isn't the only one that wonders...]

Well, I wanna help, but you wouldn't believe me if I said I didn't have any other motives.

[ritsu_kouyou]

...I was referring to my hair and back. I know what you're like, Katina. I believe the Americans have a term for it that's beneath me to use.

[grandtheftmecha]

Hey, hey, I can be satisfied with just those. Your hair feels really nice y'know.

[ritsu_kouyou]

I take painstaking care of it. [It is an older kind of status symbol anyways.] Start with the shampoo.

[She turns her back to Katina.]

And I didn't say no to the question you haven't asked. Remember that.

I can tell.

[ Katina squirts a little in her hands, lathering it up. ]

So should I grab my stuff later?

[ritsu_kouyou]

Mm. Yes. Later.

And massage the shampoo in gently starting at the scalp and then slowly work down the length to the ends. Do not do to my hair as you do to yours; mine is far too long.

[grandtheftmecha]

Right! I'd hate for yours to end up like mine anyways.

[ When she bothers listening, Katina is good at following instructions - and at being gentle. ]

[ritsu_kouyou]

I'd have to kill you then.

[Is she joking? Who knows...]

[grandtheftmecha]

Making me promise not to die and then killing me yourself is a hell of a move.

[ She wouldn't completely put it past Akiha, but she doesn't need that motivation to slowly and carefully wash her hair, trying not to linger over the strands too long. ]

[ritsu_kouyou]

[Akiha laughs lightly.] Then don't tempt fate.

[grandtheftmecha]

I try not to make a habit of it.

[ Katina's made good progress on Akiha's hair without rushing it. ]

[ritsu_kouyou]

Well... sometimes tempt fate. Just not in the way that will get you killed.

[grandtheftmecha]

Oh, good. Broken limbs alright?

[ Now she's just teasing of course. ]

[ritsu_kouyou]

Depending on the situation. You never know.

[grandtheftmecha]

I've had enough that they aren't a big deal anyways.

[ritsu_kouyou]

I've never had a broken bone. They look so inconvenient.

[grandtheftmecha]

Well yeah, but it's hard to avoid sometimes, especially for very special children like me.

[ritsu_kouyou]

That's because you're reckless. [And human.]

[grandtheftmecha]

Ha, yeah. Still learning my lesson after all this time.

[ If Katina wasn't, she'd just find something tall enough to break a limb falling off of anyways. ]
