[Yukari abruptly wakes up, upon hearing a dreadful racket. She looks up to see the mysterious creatures growling and sometimes clawing at the windows. There are even more of them behind the first ones.]

Oh dear. We have guests.

[So much for the necessities. So much for the orchard. So much for all the lovely places that have been created here--

--the only thing visible this morning is a thick coat of snow, white everywhere, broken up only by ominous shadows and lights.

Aren't you lucky to be inside? Inside a plain little stone house, with a sleeping bag and at least one other person. There's a bathroom, but it's not very good at giving you hot water. Everything's cold.

And outside, the wind howls...]

[OOC: As of 7:18 EST this morning (yeah, we're late), the solstice event has begun. Refer to these three posts for more information! You are welcome to either create action posts or logs of your own or use this post to play things out.]

[The voice post starts in the middle of what seems to be a moment of desperation. The panicked gasps that could be heard are almost immediately stifled once she realizes that something from this Vine-thing has appeared. There seems to be muffled conversation for a moment or two before a voice -- clear, demanding, and only slightly trembling -- comes up.]

... Hello. I don't know who is listening to this, but I am following the advice of this feline I encountered... so as idiotic as this seems...

But that is unimportant for the time being! The cat has nothing to offer in terms of information on how to leave this place, so I have no choice but to ask the inhabitants here. I want out of this place.

If the "Queen of Hearts" herself is listening to this, I must decline your invitation. I have no wish to be in this place you have kidnapped me into. You have no right to take me from my world! No right!

[She can't keep the franticness from appearing in her voice this time.]

How dare you try to separate us... how dare you...!?

[Shizuru wanders around the Gardens, sighing heavily.]

Happy Birthday... to me.

Then again... How on earth, or wherever this actually is, is this supposed to be considered a 'happy' birthday?

Spending a birthday without Natsuki? Unheard of.

[Sighing again, she sits down gracefully, pathetically drawing circles on the ground.]

My birthday wish this year... is for Natsuki to be safe and sound... and here with me.

There's a library after all. There's a place labeled "Arcade" near a lake, and if you take the boardwalk you should see a lovely building.
[Sketch appears here, slowly and meticulously] )
They aren't subjects I'm familiar with, but they're fascinating all the same.

[[OOC: Open log is up! :> You don't have to interact with Robin, it's for anybody who wants to check out the Library~]]

[When the mirror turns on, a young lady is shown bent over a pile of her belongings, still wearing the white shift all new arrivals wake up in plus some oversized hat with various pins clipped onto it, all while throwing around her things. Obviously, she hasn't quite noticed the fact that there's a mirror "recording" her.]

What's going on? This is so not Shibuya. We won the game... So why does it look like this is another week?! [And then she stops messing around with her belongings, crinkling her face and pulling on her hair for a moment, looking... Oddly bothered by it for a moment.]

Ugh, these really don't go together at all. If I could just find my bag and--

[And almost as if on cue, there's a bit of rustling, and a familiar white fluffy creature can be seen holding onto what seems to be a stuffed animal.

There's a bit of a staring contest, and then--]

H-- HEY! GIVE ME BACK MR. MEW!

[--DIVING RIGHT TOWARDS IT, all while the mirror continues showing this whole scene.]

[ Caprica has been avoiding Gaius's house ever since she accidentally conjured it from her memories. Once she considered trying to burn it down, but eventually decided she couldn't bear it. The original is already ash and splinters because of her; she doesn't want to repeat that.

But inevitably, she's back there again, sitting on the balcony, where a tendril of the Vine has crept its way up the side of the house — it's becoming part of this place. She has a cocktail glass of something a dull green color — ambrosia and rum, almost unbearably sweet, but she likes it that way — and she's staring off past the mirror, watching the lake as the sun begins to set over it.

When she speaks, her tone is idly curious, or seems that way. She still doesn't look at the mirror. ]

What do all of you miss? From home.

1.
"Damnit!"

With an annoyed expression on her face, Tenshi switched off the device she had been gifted, and resisted the urge to throw it against a rock. Why was this silly thing defeating her? Why was it mocking her? The stupid thing should move the way she wanted! She had meant to press B, not A! Why didn't the figure in the device dodge properly!

Yes, she was losing hard at a DS game that she had been playing solely due to having been bored and because someone had actually given her a gift...which was an experience she hadn't had in decades.

After placing the thing down and storing it away safely, she turned to something less frustrating. That stuff she had brought back from the fringe realms. Maybe she could use it for something fun.

[OOC: Feel free to enter while she's playing, too, if you like and want to mock her in revenge or something. She's not exactly good at the thing, and it surely won't become a hobby she'll do all the time. Tenshi sucks at video games, ironically.]

We're certainly getting a lot of newcomers, aren't we? And still no answers.

...from what I've learned, going to the edges of the garden and returning with the soil allows you to create things. Houses, items, whatever you'd like.

I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't a dream.

Are you serious? Do they expect us to just live here without any technology? How am I supposed to live here without any supermarkets or computers -- that's just not fair, especially since I spent all my money working hard to make my father proud, and then suddenly they send me here?

I hope this is just a dream. [ One that sucks, to say the least. ]

[Stepping up to lightly touch the mirror, Shizuru smiles and then steps back a bit so she wouldn't fog up the mirror.]

Ara, seeing as how Queen of Hearts-san was able to use this to talk to me, I assume I can do the same. I have no idea who will be able to see this, but at least, there's a hope that someone, anyone, will see this.

[She gives a hopeful look.]

Has anyone seen Natsuki?

[Biting her lip, Shizuru lets out a sigh.]

Please don't avoid me, Natsuki, if you are anywhere in the Gardens.
