[A lot of rustle is heard before a Vine is tugged close up to a sign]

[It pulls back to reveal Alpha, smiling widely and her shop behind her.]

It's done! Cafe Alpha is finished! Now, all I was able to find was tea, but I found a few coffee packages so I'll definitely save those for special occasions until I figure out how to get more. In the mean time, I found some tea leaves and will be growing my own plants in the back to make tea with.

[See this? She is proud. Proud of herself.]

So! Now that the storm is over, anyone want a nice hot cup of tea?

[OOC: Christmas kind of took over, so I waited until the event was over to post again. ^^;; This is forwarded to tomorrow morning as I'll be a little busy tomorrow. Mods, I hope this is okay! If not, let me know. :)]

[So much for the necessities. So much for the orchard. So much for all the lovely places that have been created here--

--the only thing visible this morning is a thick coat of snow, white everywhere, broken up only by ominous shadows and lights.

Aren't you lucky to be inside? Inside a plain little stone house, with a sleeping bag and at least one other person. There's a bathroom, but it's not very good at giving you hot water. Everything's cold.

And outside, the wind howls...]

[OOC: As of 7:18 EST this morning (yeah, we're late), the solstice event has begun. Refer to these three posts for more information! You are welcome to either create action posts or logs of your own or use this post to play things out.]

[Finally... finally, she had a gun! Or at least, she was pretty sure it was a working, proper firearm. She'd put a lot of time and a lot of effort into getting the damned parts to form just right out of memory. As much as she wanted to berate herself for not knowing the parts to her AR-7 better, it was a good mental exercise that would definitely make her that much better at her trade.

Now, though, she has the completed weapon in her hands, and a crude target set up on a tree...

Crack! One sharp, light report, and only just off from the center of the target by a hair there was a smoking hole. Larry literally shouted in joy before taking her tools to the gun to see how the parts she'd created from memory held up, a supremely content smile on her face.]

[Japan can be seen gathering her neatly folded clothes to her chest, shuffling with them nervously before she speaks.]

Ah, I believe-- um, these cats are quite kind. How are they trained? This seems... [she pauses thoughtfully, glancing down at herself. there's some faint blushing, but she moves on with her speaking.]

It's almost as if I'm in a rather main role! What a surprising thing to be thrown into so suddenly. [she says this with the slightest bit of energy, but quickly backs down with an attempt at a stern voice.]

This is not a dream, is it? Is anyone there? America-san, please warn me if you are going to have me in a movie! ...A simple warning was all I needed.

[It was like humanity never existed in this place. Well, until now that was. Sure, there were houses and things that helped the other humans here, but Alpha got the sense that they were not part of this place. That it all simple existed now that they were here. However, there were certain things about this place that certainly reminded her of her own home.

The life here. It was just like home. This place was doing it own thing to ensure humanity was remembered and cherished. At least, that’s what she felt like it was doing. Even the animals helped take care of them. It was amazing! And the Vines!

Alpha run to one, smiling widely as it moves to her.]

Yo!

[Her hand rises to wave.]

This is really neat! This is like those streetlight trees at home and those weird white things that look like people. It’s this planet’s way of taking care of us before we go!

[ Of course, the question still remained.

Would they be able to leave? Alpha likes to think so. She stares thoughtfully into the Vine for a few moments. Well, in the mean time, she could at least talk to people, right? It had been so long since she had customers at her Café before arriving here.]

My name is Alpha Hatsuseno! How are you all doing?

Also! I think this place needs a café of its own. So, I think I’ll bring Café Alpha to the Gardens. Of course, I’ll probably only be able to make tea for awhile until I can find some coffee beans… but that’s okay! I can make good tea! Anyone have any flavors they like?

[OOC: Just kinda assuming she explored a little before making herself known. Replies will be slow as I'm finishing up finals!]

This magic...it's strange.

[There is a pause before the next part is written out]

This is a dream? Or reality? I cannot tell.

[Another pause, and a few pentaps.]

But then again, we are such stuff as dreams are made on...

Oh, I hope I never wake up.

[ America appears holding her baseball bat. She wished to go home, but got this instead. ]

Hey! Who wants to play baseball with me? I can, like, teach the aliens how to play too! [ If you don't know what America is, she considers you an alien. ]

Baseball is one of the best American pastimes, so it's up to me to teach you. Don't be too disappointed when I beat you, hahaha!

[Over the Gardens today there is a red-haired girl with horns and small wings flying around, trying to get a better look at this strange place she's found herself in. Soon she lands near one of the ponds and her wings vanish.]

This part looks familiar... did I already fly over this area? [She lets out an awkward laugh.] Or maybe everything's starting to look the same!

[She seems lost, so she glances around, hoping to find another person she can ask for help.]

It's all so beautiful, but it feels really strange.
