We're certainly getting a lot of newcomers, aren't we? And still no answers.

...from what I've learned, going to the edges of the garden and returning with the soil allows you to create things. Houses, items, whatever you'd like.

I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't a dream.

Does it matter how much soil you bring back?

[identity profile] falterderleere.livejournal.com 2010-12-09 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
I think I'll have to try this soil then...

[identity profile] celestialmama.livejournal.com 2010-12-09 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
It can't be. All of us, having the same dream?

[identity profile] celestialmama.livejournal.com 2010-12-09 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
No; it has taken far too long. It feels too real...

[ She shakes her head. What's the use, trying to find a small thread of hope that this might be a dream? Better she adjust to the reality of this--better to cling to the other thing this young woman has said. ]

And the soil you mentioned: there's no way it could, perhaps...create a door back to our homes?

[identity profile] thetrueblow.livejournal.com 2010-12-09 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
Well, that's good to know.

It'll save me a lot of time.

I was just going to nail a lot of wood together.

Is that so?

[Taking note of that to experiment with later!]

Thanks for sharing that information!

When you try it, let me know how the experiment goes. Multiple trials make for better data.

...the soil does what now?

If it can do that... then maybe...

Oh man, have you tested it at all yet?

I heard about that. It had me thinking.

[identity profile] morelikemeteor.livejournal.com 2010-12-09 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Th-The things that could be done...

Am I doing something wrong with that?

[identity profile] endthiscycle.livejournal.com 2010-12-09 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
...how, exactly? [Logics. Where you at]

[identity profile] border-phantasm.livejournal.com 2010-12-09 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
And how did you find that?

[identity profile] crazyfornatsuki.livejournal.com 2010-12-09 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
When you say things, you're referring to non-living things, correct?

[identity profile] hotshot-momma.livejournal.com 2010-12-09 08:53 am (UTC)(link)
That's correct; I've seen it firsthand.

There are limits to what it can do - apparently what I wanted it to be was too exotic, even for it - but it can make almost any basic material.

I didn't think so. Then I saw the wild areas at the edge, and I started to wonder. It's a LOT like the dream-world back home.

If we don't start getting answers anytime soon, then I really will have no choice but to seek them out myself.

[An intrigued pause.] So that's why I felt that odd potential in the soil I'd found in the jungle! Now I think I realise what that very first scroll meant about "building". I'll have to see what happens with the sample I've got, then.
