[So much for the necessities. So much for the orchard. So much for all the lovely places that have been created here--

--the only thing visible this morning is a thick coat of snow, white everywhere, broken up only by ominous shadows and lights.

Aren't you lucky to be inside? Inside a plain little stone house, with a sleeping bag and at least one other person. There's a bathroom, but it's not very good at giving you hot water. Everything's cold.

And outside, the wind howls...]

Vampires are forced to live on the underbelly of humanity. We don't have any luxuries like being able to take baths when we want to so I was forced to accept that I couldn't look my best all the time.

It's as she said. The cold does not seem to affect her all that much. The snow does slow her down but with her superhuman speed it slows her down to a normal walking pace. It's more like she's a human walking about on a sunny day instead of a vampire walking through a blizzard.

Slowly she'll find and gather firewood. Obviously it is damp and will smoke when burnt but it should still provide warmth. She also manages to find some nuts and berries but nothing substantial.*
