one

[ a young woman's voice comes on the Vine. she does not sound pleased. in fact, 'furious' might be a more appropriate way to describe it. ]

What is the meaning of this?! I demand an explanation! Right now! [ there is a loud, sharp CRACK!, the sound of leather hitting hard against the ground. ]

Any foolish answers will be met with a whipping! I don't want to waste my time hearing nonsense explanations!

[ she ends this with another CRACK!, to emphasize her point. ]

I don't know, I'm starting to think there's unicorns and magical girls. Because I've met one of the latter.

... and, uh... there's also the thing you're using to talk to me right now. Do you have anything like that where you come from?

... so, what would you do if I showed you somebody that could fly and shoot lasers?

What kind of place do you come from that could actually do this with vines?

[identity profile] yakuza-otaku.livejournal.com 2010-12-27 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
But it would prove that things you thought were impossible are possible, wouldn't it?

Hm... I guess I could see that happening where I come from, but these vines are all over the place. That'd be pretty expensive to set up with just twenty first century technology, wouldn't it?

W-well, besides the fact that you've been kidnapped by the Queen of Hearts somehow, probably involving magic or something, and some of us have been trapped here for about a month now... I don't know what else to tell you?

[identity profile] yakuza-otaku.livejournal.com 2010-12-27 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
... I'm only sixteen, and it's not like I've been kidnapped before. Though, somebody did try...

Hm... maybe about a hundred people? Or two? I'm not sure exactly, but I think it's around that much.

Besides the animals, there aren't many natives...

There's the um... *she thinks a bit* the Mother, the Warrior Princess, the Damsel, the High Priestess, the Healer, and the Vamp.

We've never met any of them in person, though. They've only used the vine to talk with us.

Yeah, and people have gone as far as they can in this place.

I haven't gone myself, so you'd probably be better off asking somebody who has... though I've heard all of them had to go past wolves that... don't really try to stop them, but growl at them like they're trying to stop them or something?

Weird things happen to people sometimes that go out there... though you probably wouldn't believe me if I told you what.

One of them was turned into a kid for awhile, and another was running around with a thunderstorm cloud chasing after her.

And I didn't hear it, I saw it...

If you can see the island with the sakura tree floating over a lake, that's where I'm staying right now.

There's some random houses you can sleep in, but they disappear when you're not looking. People have been building their own places.

As for food and drink, um... the river water tastes fine, and there's nuts and berries and animals for hunting...

... or you can ask the room service, but if I tell you what the room service is, you wouldn't believe that, either.

I don't know. Magic, I guess?

If you ask a songbird to bring you some food, it will.
