[action/video]

[Now that the automaton invasion has been mostly taken care of at the fortress, Jessica's out to catch up with people. She's been around, Bulbasaur in tow, and has settled down for lunch near the ferris wheel. The bulbasaur is occasionally tugging her toward the ride, occasionally walking toward it and looking back at her expectantly. Jessica doesn't move from her seat on a rock.]

I assure you, there is no chance whatsoever that I'm getting on that with anyone, ever. Well, other than physical threats. Sorry.

[She finishes her meal and turns on the vine.]

Hey, is it just me, or has our population kind of... dropped recently?

[Zenobia appears behind Jessica. She is staring intently at the Ferris Wheel.] What's with this odd structure? Is it some sort of elaborate altar? ...And these red and white circle symbols...

Oh! It's the smart interesting girl!

Wait... you ride it? How does that work? And you need two people... hey, why don't you and I try it out?

Oh, is that how it works? Mechanical things are fascinating, but I really can't understand them.

Well, you have to have two people, right? And it doesn't go that far up, right? I could cover your eyes for you.

[ ] I turned up alone, and— [ ] They wouldn't let me inside, so— [ ] Here I am!

Okay! Not looking forward to— [ ] Going back up, though!

Just my common sense! [ ] And, jeez. I know a supervillain who would love that little guy.

[Sephiroth appears in her usual sudden way. She doesn't seem interested in the ferris wheel. She's familiar with such amusements, but they hold no appeal for her.]

I've noticed that certain people have vanished, though new ones have kept appearing.

Perhaps it is a good sign, and we too will be returning home soon. Or perhaps the population simply fluctuates here.

My apologies, I did not intend to sneak. My hair color is irrelevant; I travel quickly and make little noise. I can attempt to give you more warning, if you'd like.

Yes, two of the women from my world seem to have disappeared, though Reeve is still here. It can be difficult to judge, as sometimes people fall out of view for a time, though they are not truly gone. It is a shame that society is not more organized here, or we would be better able to tell.

[identity profile] no-hometown.livejournal.com 2011-05-05 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
That would not be a pattern, as technically my hair is silver. [She doesn't seem to care, is simply pointing out a fact.]

I was referring to more of an organized settlement, like a city or town. A roll call would be all but useless, considering how scattered we are.

I see no reason for concern, as we are relatively certain that those who disappear return home. I am pleased for them. [Seldom has "I am pleased" been said in a more impassive way.]

[Now that she's taught a few small and friendly robots how to go about it, Reeve is having a cup of tea. Though she seems to be going over some papers, when the vine reacts she glances up and smiles, seeming pleased to see Jessica.]

Yes, it has-- I think. You've been here much longer than I, does it seem to fluctuate much? In any discernible pattern?

By the by, you were a terrific help the other day-- if you'd like to come around again, we can see what we can cook up in terms of entertainment! You're welcome to bring your little friend, of course. I'm giving the parts I've salvaged from the robots a good going over, trying to make sense of it all. Sound appealing?

[identity profile] urbanwonderland.livejournal.com 2011-05-07 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
I understand-- I'm sure if you or anyone else I see regularly were to vanish, I'd find it disheartening. The situation is already odd, adding disappearances on top of it-- well, it doesn't make it any easier.

But! You're right, there might be something! Which is worth investigating, I think. Gives me something to do, anyhow. Us, I mean. [Reeve smiles.]
You're welcome here any time, of course. I was wondering! How does your "Pokemon" get along with the robots? Vice versa?

[identity profile] urbanwonderland.livejournal.com 2011-05-09 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[Reeve laughs, cute animals (and/or robots) are a thing of hers.] They're quite intelligent, aren't they! Yes, yes-- "hello" to you too, Bulbasaur. I was wondering, how is it you know she's female? Oh, and do you plan to give her a name other than "Bulbasaur"? Though I do like that.

Honestly though, Jessica, sometimes I find it's best to just to give in and feel awful for a little while. When I try to deny my feelings or stamp them down, they just seem to come back to me that much stronger. But! That's just me. [She smiles understandingly. She does that a lot.]
As I said, if you're looking for non-judgmental company, you're welcome here. You can feel as bad as you like and we'll see if we can pull off "productive" and "entertaining" at the same time.

What's "Alien Abduction"?

[Walking around the ferris wheel, examining it curiously, with Munna (http://images.wikia.com/pokemon/images/9/94/Munna.png) floating along behind her.] Wow...

Re: [Action]

[identity profile] belleoftheballs.livejournal.com 2011-05-06 01:46 pm (UTC)(link)
[Jumps a little and turns to smile at Jessica awkwardly.] Um, yeah! Kinda, I guess! My name is Bianca. [She waves Munna a little closer to her.] And yes, of course! This is Munna! Say hello, Munna.

Muuun!

[identity profile] belleoftheballs.livejournal.com 2011-05-06 02:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup, unless I'm holding her! She's a psychic, dream-eater type Pokemon.

... Is that a real Bulbasaur? That's so cool! I've only ever seen those in books before! [Crouches to hold her hand out to Bulbasaur.] Hi, there! Jessica, you're so lucky!
