[Now that the automaton invasion has been mostly taken care of at the fortress, Jessica's out to catch up with people. She's been around, Bulbasaur in tow, and has settled down for lunch near the ferris wheel. The bulbasaur is occasionally tugging her toward the ride, occasionally walking toward it and looking back at her expectantly. Jessica doesn't move from her seat on a rock.]

I assure you, there is no chance whatsoever that I'm getting on that with anyone, ever. Well, other than physical threats. Sorry.

[She finishes her meal and turns on the vine.]

Hey, is it just me, or has our population kind of... dropped recently?

Well, Bulbasaur is a fine name for her-- she really is adorable.

Keeping cool in a crisis is a wonderful thing to be able to do-- but I think it's okay to let go sometimes too. I know I need to! I do get very stressed about what might be happening at home, and about when I might be going there-- I can't keep a lid on it all the time. I guess building things and having the occasional private cry are my coping mechanisms. [She smiles.]

I don't know about you, Jessica, but I don't always feel the way I'm "supposed" to feel. But that's all right, I think.

Ha ha yes! I'm ready to learn about alien abduction-- I'll try to find something serious for us to do while you tell me all about it.

I... guess I never really figured out a good coping mechanism. I kinda suck at that kind of stuff. [A small amount of sheepishness enters her voice.] I try to just not think about stuff back home, since there's nothing I can do about it.
