First Keychain ღ Video

[When the video comes into focus, it's showing a panicked girl. Not that anyone would be able to tell otherwise, due to her young age and less-than-mature figure. It's Sora, and she's pulled on her usual jacket and her crown necklace over the shift--far too worried to change completely.]

Wh-Where am I!? Where are my Islands!? Has anyone seen a Riku or a Kairi!?

[She's gripping at her hair, pulling at the spikes slightly. She looks around at the garden slightly, still obviously confused and distraught. This isn't her home, or anywhere near to what it should be. She's never seen any place like this! And considering that she just watched and fought as her home fell apart around her, she's not too sure about what to do.]

Please... Is there anything anyone can tell me!?

[she almost responds with "I know", but bites it back.]

[Sora looks so...small like this. Lost and disappointed. Not quite the hero of the Keyblade everyone kept talking about. Xion has a heart, and it aches a little. She wants to run away. She's scared. Things weren't supposed to happen like this. But they have, and...]

[She owes Sora an explanation, doesn't she?]

Listen--this...is important. [she takes a deep breath.] I'm going to come find you. Can you...stay there...?

I... don't exactly have anywhere else to go...

[She'll wait. She really doesn't have anywhere else to go, not yet. She's lost and afraid, and she's only really just started her journey. Exploring new places seems nice in concept, but when you've cast off from home with no say in the matter... It's an entirely different story.]

...okay.

[could it be they're both equally scared? Xion nods, finally turning towards the mirror, peering at it, trying to glimpse the scenery behind the other girl. The Gardens are big, but she's spent almost two weeks wandering around, enough to find her way.]

[She bites her lip, starting to say something else, but just gestures, making the mirror finally disappear. Someone might overhear. She hesitates for a moment, then turns on her heel and starts running.]

[Sora's own mirror disappears, and she just sort of collapses. She doesn't do anything more, just waits while clutching at her crown necklace. It's all she really can do right this second.]

[it takes her a bit, but she finally spots the other small, white-clad figure among the flowering greenery. Xion herself is still wearing the shift she arrived in, but with another layer over it to ward off the cold and the snow, all covered by her black coat and a scarf wrapped around her neck. The effect is vaguely comical, but it's lost on her.]

[she stops some distance away, doubts swirling in her mind. But it's concern that finally drives her forward, for this very lost girl. Sora's a girl after all. Strange, but not impossible. It's only a passing thought at this point.]

[her boots, the ones she got with Anna's help, are more suited to the weather than her old ones, but too heavy to be stealthy in. Her approach is audible, and her steps slow. She waits for Sora to notice her.]

[Sora hears Xion before she sees her. In a moment, she's whirling around and standing, that key called to her hand--still on edge from the Islands, it seems. However, when she sees it's the same girl as from the mirror, she relaxes and the weapon is gone.]

...Sorry. I've... Been through a lot today.

[She scratches at the back of her neck a bit, kind of nervous. It's not really polite to greet someone in a battle stance.]

[she feels her heart leap into her throat, but not because of the impending attack--but because it's true. She has a Keyblade. And it's exactly the same as--no. It's Xion's that's the same as Sora's...it's such an odd thought.]

It's okay. I...I freaked out when I got here, too.

[she's trying to be reassuring, but her voice is trembling.]

Um, I'm--Xion. And you're...Sora. Can I ask you something that might seem...strange?

[That voice... She can't get over it. It sends a chill down her spine to hear it coming from someone who is apparently not Kairi. Still, she's going to not let that affect her too much.]

I... How do you know my name...? I...I guess...

[This has to be a dream of some sort, she supposes. It's the only way someone can know her name.]

Because I....in a way, I'm...

[she lets her hands fall to her sides. There's no turning back now.]

A part of you.

What's the last thing you remember...?

P... Part of me...?

[This is shock. Pure shock. She has no idea what to make of that.]

I... The last thing I remember, my... ...My home was falling apart...

[Location: Awkwardville. Population: 2.]

[and that's...well. That's not good. Actually, it's very, very bad.]

Y-your memories--they haven't--

[Sora woke up without all her memories? That meant Roxas was still...Roxas still had them. Part of her feels a surge of hope, but the rest is horribly guilty. Is it really fair for them to exist only by taking away from other people...? She takes a step back, trying to think. But it's too much. She's just a lost little girl, with no idea how to fix things.]

I'm sorry--I'm really sorry...I thought--I thought everything would be over...

[What can she do except keep going? Not much. She looks down at her feet, gathering her courage.]

Your home...it'll be fine. I promise. You don't have to believe me, but...I've seen it.

[In your memories. The worlds restored.]

[she reaches up and pulls back her hood, still looking down. Not wanting to see the reaction.]

I...I'll understand if--you want me to go away. I shouldn't be here. I just wanted to tell you that--...that I'll find a way to fix this.

...Over? What about my memories?

[This is making her head hurt. Everything makes less sense than before, especially as that hood is pulled away. Eyes go wide and she slowly approaches. Fingers reach up and run through hair.]

H...How...!? You... You look like...

[she stands still, her eyes still fixed on the ground.]

I look like her because...those were your strongest memories. But I'm not her. I'm just...an echo.

They should be--they're both safe. Riku's been fighting for you this whole time. He's out there, somewhere...he'll find you.

Th-They're both okay?

[That's what she notices first. But then, the first comment registers.]

...What? My... Strongest memories...?

[she nods in response to both questions. She's still scared, but...at the same time, it's a relief to get it all out.]

Your memories of the person you care for the most. They gave me a...a face. A self. I'm grateful for that.

...This isn't making any sense. At all.

[This really does make her head hurt. Nothing makes sense about this. Not in the least.]

[for once in her life, she actually looks embarrassed. She stands there for a moment, thinking. Of course Sora wouldn't understand. How could she expect her to?]

[But that means...leave her in the dark, or tell the whole story. Xion sits down abruptly, hugging her knees. She suddenly misses Riku and Axel...they always seemed to know what to do.]

...I'm sorry. I'm making this worse.

Hey, it's not your fault!

[She plops down next to Xion, resting a hand on her shoulder. Man, this is her fault...]

It's just... A lot to take in.

[the touch is unexpected, and...comforting. She looks up after a moment, searching the other girl's face.]

Y-yeah...

[She hasn't disappeared, nothing out of the ordinary has happened. Maybe, just maybe...]

I didn't mean to...say it all at once, it's just...[she looks down again.] I didn't stop to think what it would be like for you. I-I'll...I'll explain whatever I can.

Anything'll help. Just take your time, okay?

[she takes a deep breath, sorting through the faint afterimages of memories in her mind. Separated from Riku and Kairi. The Islands falling apart. Yes--...this was pretty bad. Sora's whole journey had been forgotten.]

The darkness...fell. And now you're on another world. [she looks up again.] It's safe here, as far as I can tell. I haven't seen any Heartless...

[Sora nods a bit.]

...I got that I'm on another world. But Heartless... What're those?

They're...well, they're creatures. [How did others describe them?] Creatures of darkness. And the Keyblade is the only way to defeat them for good.

...You mean those things that attacked the Island?
