[From the looks of things, Nue isn't dressed in her usual dark colors today. Instead, she's wearing the red and white uniform of a Hakurei shrine maiden, meaning she must have finally taken Reimu up on the punishment she had ordered a while back. The fact that the image's backdrop is the Hakurei shrine and she has a broom in hand makes this pretty obvious, too.]

[That isn't what she wants to talk about, though. She just got bored with sweeping, and there's been something else on her mind, too.]

So... Do you think that Pirate Queen is actually going to keep her word? [Her wings flick back and forth like tails behind her, the movement seeming somehow irritable. Apparently, she's incensed just thinking about it.] It's not like I gave her something I can't just make more of, but still. I'm going to be mad if she doesn't come back like she said she would.

[The truth is, Nue is just impatient. It's been a week and a half, maybe, and she's already getting antsy. But she asked for something she hopes will cheer Sanae up, so she's anxious to get her hands on it now.]

Or you could catch her around the fortress later in the day; she still isn't living at the shrine 24/7 now, so she has to go back there if she wants to change out of those stupid miko robes after she's done with her stupid chores.]

[Now that she's feeling stronger, Kariya is more mobile. She's glad. She's never been someone who liked standing still. She'd always wanted to leave her home, her family, and after she'd fulfilled that goal, she'd never stayed in the same place long. She's always been looking for somewhere she'll want to stay, but she hasn't found it yet. Maybe she never will. She's restless, and she's able to exercise her restlessness again.

But she's still limited; it's not as if she can leave the Gardens, and even within them, she doesn't want to go so far that she strains herself. When thinking of destinations, Nue comes to mind. The youkai is one of her closest friends in the Gardens, and she'd like to see her again. So she heads toward the fortress, not hurrying, but traveling faster than she has in the past.

The fortress wouldn't be her first choice of residence, so simple and built for defense rather than comfort. It's not until Kariya arrives there that she stops to think that Nue might not even be there. Perhaps she should have used the Vine to ask first. She approaches nonetheless, heedless of the local foliage.]

[The fortress does what Nue needs it to, which is give her a place where she can isolate herself from other people. (The robotic cleaning service is a nice bonus, too.) Even so, she doesn't mind company, and in truth she has found herself growing more and more lonely lately, so when she hears Kariya's voice, it doesn't take her long to appear. She hasn't even changed out of her temporary uniform yet.]

I'm here. Do you need something, Kariya? [She asks mostly because she isn't used to having visitors.]

Oh. [She pauses at the sight of Nue's unexpected garb, but it isn't too odd. Certainly less odd than the robots or anything else about this place. It's not what she's accustomed to, that's all.]
