Things making people act unlike themselves... what's "like yourself" though, other than how you acted before? I mean... what makes up a person? Our bodies? Our actions? Our memories?

[Memories...]

...hey, what do memories mean to you? How important are your memories? If you had something painful in your past... do you think it'd be better not to remember it?

It is kind of harsh, how people disappear without warning, isn't it? Maybe they'll show up again...

I already had that happen. Twice. Now they are from a time where things went entirely different for them.

Entirely different? Like, the past changed and stuff?

Well... I don't know how much, but it's clear things went different for both of us...

Not very... but I think there are some parts about her that are different.

Memories are things that you've seen and went through, right?

Well, I mean, yeah, that's literally what they are... but do you think they're important?

Well... it's hard to say that they wouldn't be. I guess it's something I never really thought about.

I guess normally it's not something someone would think about, huh?

I've just been wondering since there are a lot of happy memories, and a lot of painful ones... if you could forget the bad ones, would you? Or is it better to remember them?

... I don't know. I've been through something really bad myself, that I don't think anyone else here can say they've been had happen to them.

Ah, back home. Nothing quite like that here.

Mm. I guess things could be pretty bad. [Puella magi and all...] But, I wouldn't want to forget those things. Everything that happened is why my friends and I are together.

Even if it was something that drove you apart, for whatever reason?
