Things making people act unlike themselves... what's "like yourself" though, other than how you acted before? I mean... what makes up a person? Our bodies? Our actions? Our memories?

[Memories...]

...hey, what do memories mean to you? How important are your memories? If you had something painful in your past... do you think it'd be better not to remember it?

Memories are things that you've seen and went through, right?

Well, I mean, yeah, that's literally what they are... but do you think they're important?

Well... it's hard to say that they wouldn't be. I guess it's something I never really thought about.

I guess normally it's not something someone would think about, huh?

I've just been wondering since there are a lot of happy memories, and a lot of painful ones... if you could forget the bad ones, would you? Or is it better to remember them?

... I don't know. I've been through something really bad myself, that I don't think anyone else here can say they've been had happen to them.

Bad things here...? Or do you mean back home?

Ah, back home. Nothing quite like that here.

Mm. I guess things could be pretty bad. [Puella magi and all...] But, I wouldn't want to forget those things. Everything that happened is why my friends and I are together.

Even if it was something that drove you apart, for whatever reason?

I meant... you said you would try to fix something, if it drove you apart from your friends.

Oh... yeah, I mean, I would. I didn't know you meant...

Of course, dying off could be considered better than some other things...

I didn't know, at first. I mean, when I woke up... I didn't have any memories. So I didn't know at all the kind of pain my friends had gone through because of all of that... and maybe I was happier that way but... I don't think that was a good thing.

Didn't know what at first? There's... a few things to know, right?

Well... I mean, everything! What witches are, what we are... and everything we'd gone through because of it. I just thought we were magical girls, just like in the anime.

And then it turns out the only things in common are that we are girls and use magic. It would take a sick and twisted mind to think up this kind of stuff.

... Wonder what would happen if someone wished "I want to be a magical girl just like from an anime" during a contract.

Yeah...

Hmm... I don't know? It'd be kind of like wishing not to turn into a witch, or maybe to get rid of witches.

... Yeah, I wonder... [Totally heard from Madoka #1 from here that was what she did...]

I dunno if Jyuubey would grant that kind of wish.
