I suppose that in general it's not a problem if we duplicate each other's work, since we're coming from different angles.

But it seems like some sort of central repository of what people have tried and what they have learned might be helpful. It might seem like a lot of hassle, but it would in effect save a lot of time for everyone.

And more importantly, since I would imagine that most of us have an overabundance of time, it might save some frustration.

[Ky understands paperwork, and imposing a little organization on this situation seems like it would be helpful.]

As well as we could make it clearer to new people what the full situation is, rather than simply sharing our personal experiences.

A historical list of the sort of the temporary effects people have undergone -- how long they lasted, what attempts to end them failed, what they were doing when they ended...

Those seem like they would be most useful for figuring out what to do in the future.

Without intending any offence, it's very informal. As well it would be nice, I think, to cover the temporary effects which seem designed for a specific purpose, somewhere.

In addition I don't accept that there is simply no way out.

Well, yes, that's sort of my point. I mean, if many people are trying independently then they might just be trying the same set of things over and over again.

If I may ask, how long have you been here?

I assume you've spoken with Jessica-- she's been making an effort at chronicling our time here by way of a general overview, including the effects of various environmental stimuli. I've kept my own journals, of course, but my personal reflections might not be of much value to anyone else!

As for newcomers, unfortunately, the nature of this place is chaotic to a certain extent. I don't think there's really a practical way to account for every variable. What sort of repository do you envision, and where do you plan to store it for easy access?

I've just started speaking to her now. I think collecting a set of personal reflections might help, depending on what details you noted.

A list of events and ways people have found they responded to them. Even if it seems to be chaotic perhaps some pattern can be found. As for storing it..I could make copies available to anyone who wanted. I'm not certain if there would be any better option than that.

I'm not a bad hand at observation (speaking as someone who will make her career based on spying, lying, and diplomacy, she has to be), if I do say so myself. I'll be happy to lend you some of the relevant records I've kept here-- you'll find a complete rundown of "events" since my arrival and their effects, if any.

Though of course, more than one perspective would be optimal, of course-- have you thought about first person interviews? Or possibly a place to collect anonymous submissions? Some events might be difficult for people to relate in person.

Thank you! Having your observations would be another perspective, and I would appreciate them. I'm trying to talk to some people individually, and once I've figured out what information in particular would be useful and how I'm going to organize it, I'll likely put out a call for what details people can offer. 

I guess...some sort of method of collecting anonymous data is a very good idea. I'll have to give some thought as to how to go about doing that.
