[After some awkward shifting around of the "camera", the newcomer's face is finally revealed. She's changed back into her normal clothes by now -- though "normal" is a subjective term here.]

[Utsuho frowns at the cat that's seemed to have lost its patience with her and left. She looks back at the mirror a little awkwardly, unused to this kind of... technology. She shifts in place, stretches out her raven wings, looks a little closer to see what's on the other side...]

It's not on the surface, it's way above it. And even then, nobody is looking at it.

So you always have to worry about looking at something that's sitting above your heads? Living on the surface sounds difficult.

Well, it also lights everything up during the day, keeps things warm and allows plants to absorb energy. We just can't look right at it because it is really bright.

The sun underground does that, too. Except, it stays lit at night and we don't have any plants. But I can look at it! I had to manage its flames, so if I couldn't see it that would be a problem.

Orin can. And all the other hell ravens and kasha. Miss Satori and the oni usually don't go that deep, so I don't know about them.

I see, I thought it was only you because of what you do.

Orin helps keep an eye on the flames, too, but since I got my power we don't need to use as many corpses to keep them alive.

I think I'm learning more about the underground than I ever wished to.

The surface is a lot weirder. I'm still learning things about it.

There is no ceiling like there is underground, if that's what you mean.
