[There is a very cheerful- and, now, very sparkly- Vitalia by the lake, humming to herself as she puts some finishing touches on a new greenhouse and attached lakeside cottage. There are no horrific monstrosities present yet.]

Curious, Rose goes over.]
Buon Giorno! Is this your home?

Still, I'm quite pleased that I can set up my own facility to continue my work while separated from my family!
Oh, I fear I've forgotten my manners. Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Vitalia Ruiz Asención. [She does a one-handed curtsey.]

If you do not mind my saying, you have a very pretty name. [She returns the gesture and smiles as she curtsies.]

It's better than most of the buildings that people make, that much is certain.

Well hello there, Vitalia. You've been busy, I see-- and you seemed to be pleased with your results! Very nice greenhouse. [She chuckles.]Very nice "glow" as well.
no subject
Er... is it normal? The, ah, "glow"? I've never heard of anything like this.

Well, if you've been out into the wilds for your building materials, that might explain it! Yes, effects like this one do seem to occur when people spend too long in that environment. A good friend of mine was affected too, but she grew a wing and became disoriented. Nothing as decorative as what you've achieved! No fear, it'll fade I'm sure-- hers did, in a short time.
So, what's next for you, starting a big project or three? That's quite a facility you've set up!
no subject
Well, if I am to live here, I should at the least busy myself, shouldn't I? Particularly when there are so many interesting specimens about.
no subject
Yes, there is a great variety of life here in the Garden, I'm sure you'll find lots to study. If it's all right with you, I'll drop by from time to time for a look at what you're willing to show me. Scientific minds flock together and all that!
You've said your father is a scientist-- a biologist, if I remember correctly. What sorts of studies does he pursue?

Papi's chief interest is in the area of life and the myriad forms it takes, particularly within the animal kingdom, and the similarities in those forms. I don't really understand why, but it's rather controversial to many people where I come from. I suppose there are quite a lot of people who wish to cling to the silly belief that humans are not animals themselves.
