Do you think it would work outside of the Gardens? I'd been assuming it wouldn't, but I guess we can't really know. I mean, even if someone tried it we wouldn't hear about it, would we?

I hadn't thought of that... of course, it wouldn't follow under normal circumstances, but I suppose things might work a bit differently here, since there's, er, "magic" at work. How disappointing. Still, it should be worth a try!

It really would come in handy — although you'd have to be careful to use it sparingly, since you probably wouldn't be able to come back here for more. Unless you found a way to replicate it scientifically.

Hmm... I suppose he would create the paradise he had spoken to me about, where our family could be safe. There was some, er, trouble for us, you see, back home.

Such things are only to be expected when those with small minds are allowed near genius. They attack what they are incapable of comprehending.

It's true that people aren't always very good at accepting those who are different from themselves. I like to think that they can learn, though.

Perhaps... I am not certain whether the attack we suffered was unavoidable, or if we were simply a convenient target for some misplaced hysteria. It is not a situation I would care to duplicate in the interest of finding if they could learn.

Oh, of course, I can understand that. I was only trying to say that it could be that not everyone everywhere is like that, and that over time people in general will mind less about the science stuff. So maybe one day your family will find someplace where you can do science to your hearts' content and people won't be afraid of you.
