-The voice on the other end is... tired. Weak from fasting. But probably from spending days upon days crying in her room as well. No one is keeping score.-

If my miracle powers were working... I could solve this famine. Why won't they work? Why can't I do any good here?

... I really am just taking up space, aren't I? A waste of everyone's time...

-Maybe you were just out for a walk. Maybe you had somewhere to be. Errands to run. Someone to visit. Food to obtain. Either way, odds were on that you were just minding your own business.

But all that changed when the Moriya Shrine Maiden attacked!-

Miracle "Mid-Day Supernova"!!!

Stop right there, youkai! It's my job to purify this land and that means exterminating you!!

-Wuh oh. Seems like someone's listened to the well woman's song. Any non-human character is in danger of being attacked. She'll be perfectly friendly with humans, though.-

[The Vine turns on to a very distressed-looking Yuyuko, her robes disheveled, her fingers threaded through her hair, her hands trembling violently.]

Youmu, where did you go? Did you leave? Youmu, help me...

I...have lost something? I think I have. I don't...know what it is. My memories? Did I...lose them? I can't remember what it was...what it was like, when...

[She stops speaking abruptly, and stares at a something off in space.]

I wasn't always a ghost...was I?

-The vine presents Sanae! In all her maidenly glory... sweeping the veranda of the shrine. It's not much glory, really. More mundane. But hey, that's not the point. Sanae seems to be deep in thought. She looks to her left, down one wing of the shrine. And then to her right, to the recently expanded wing of the shrine that way. What could she be thinking about.-

You know... um... Doesn't anyone think it's a little odd to have such a crowded shrine? It's one thing for one family, or one or two holy persons, or a kami of some kind to be living at a shrine, but last I counted, I think we have... six or so unrelated people living here, no gods, and none of us are related.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing. We can expand the shrine any time we want. But it just seems... odd. You know? Maybe it's just because I'm a country girl at heart... I'm not used to living with so many people.

[It was probably a stupid idea to go to that stupid cafe run by those stupid robots, especially after seeing a reminder about the effects seemingly innocuous things could have in this place, but Nue was...curious. What harm could there be in just looking? And anyway, it wasn't like there was much else to do around here, so she might as well take advantage of the opportunity to kill a little time.]

[And, you know, scope out the place to see if it was date material. Sanae would probably find the robots cute, if nothing else.]

[In the end, she decided to take a risk and ask to try the mint tea. If the food was weird, she should probably find out before she decided to do anything else, right? Right. She drank it quickly, only just resisting the urge to pinch her nose as she gulped it down.]

[...Actually, it didn't taste that bad. She still felt like herself, too, so maybe she had been worried for nothing?]

[At first, she brushed off the chill that seemed to creep up on her as she made her way back to the Gardens proper. But soon she was shivering, and it wasn't long until she was so cold her teeth chattered. She tried wrapping her wings around herself for heat, but it didn't help much.]

[So, now she can be found making her way back to the Hakurei Shrine on foot, blue and red wings completely curled around her torso with her arms hidden and pinned to her body beneath them.]

[ ooc: Threads can take place either around the Gardens or at the shrine! ]

Well, with Reimu announcing the flower viewing and Subaru making ice cream and stuff, I guess I should make my own announcement, huh?

Um, well...

Anyone up for a slumber party?

-How awkward...-

-In what has no doubt become familiar, an egg is heard crying in the background. Sanae doesn't seem too stressed about it.-

I thought, at first, that this was just me. And then I saw other people had eggs, too. I guess at least half of us have them, right? Heh...

A-anyways, these are kind of like the trial babies we had in school, aren't they? Though it's pretty different? How is everyone holding up?

Also, Nue, do you think you could help me with this? I didn't hear any crying coming from your room, so I guess you dont have one.

Okay! The outfit's all done! -The vine is being manuevered. Give it a second. Soon enough, it's focusing on Sanae, in her normal clothes.-

Well, by some miracle -HA!- I managed to get my old sewing machine from the dirt. And, well, so of course I started working on stuff! The first thing I've made since I had it, though, is being modeled currently, so I want to get some opinions on how it looks... -She pans the vine to face her 'model...-

Cut for Nue being humiliated )

Well, what do you guys think? Doesn't she look fantastic!

-How she ever convinced Nue to agree to this is anyone's guess...-

[[ Replies may come from both Sanae and Nue ]]

[ Somewhere from where her belongings sit, there's a view of a girl in a clinic bed.

She attempts to sit up and shrug the blankets off of her-- her chest is bandaged entirely; she gives up the effort when she realizes it's still too soon to be moving around. She's been spending most of her time asleep or talking to her visitors or the people in charge of her. She leans back on the bed, a slight wheeze to her breathing because of the constricting bandaging. She hasn't made any effort to contact people until now. She was busy sorting out her mind along with healing. ]

Kris, Gal... I'm sorry, the mansion will be in your charge for a while.

[ That's all she's sat up to say. If Akiha didn't wish to speak for Kohaku's privacy, they at least deserved to know she would be gone for a while. ]

[The mirror opens to show Katina's mech standing a bit of a ways back in the picture. Upon closer examination, it'll reveal Katina Tarask in the foreground... Cut for blood. )

[ooc: This occurs immediately after this log. Akiha has inverted with her demon blood in control, but she has left the scene. There will be no responses from her at all and she won't be found wandering the Garden, having returned to her mansion.]

[ You know who never got around to learning to use the vines the first time she arrived? Hina. You know who then took a while to still decide to learn about them?

Probably a few people, but Hina's one of those people, too.

But now that she's paying better attention than looking for any wandering blobs of bad luck in the air (not that she's stopped but you know), here here has decided to take an interest in the screen that pops up. Hina has the screen up close to her face, moving it and her face to look inside the mirror, see if there's anything in it... ]

Is there anyone there?

[ She moves it away, wondering if that might help... ]

I'm Hina, Hina Kagiyama. I wanted to know if there was anyone with any troubles they would like for me to take from them.

[ ... maybe... she could turn it slightly in her hands! And tilt her head along with it. ]

Or maybe... if you wanted someone to speak to... we could speak too.

[ let's bring it in close again. ] If there's anyone there?

[ A familiar face appears in the mirror. ]

What a pleasant day it is. My type of day.

But down to business—I have a game for you all. One that, if you are able to win, will reveal some mysteries of this garden.

Why can’t I tell you directly, you ask? Well, I don't really know it. This information isn’t from me, but one of those Incarnae, who won't give it up to me. Ridiculous. [ She rolls her eyes. ] Using my powers to set up a game.

Now, I’ll give you the riddles about where you should go to find said information. I suggest going in groups. Saves time.

[TEXT]

Group A:
Flashing screens, opposed to a lake unclean. Wastes of time which usually only cost a dime.

Group B:

Fires burning bright, women in the spotlight. Anything obscene is guarded from the teens.

Group C:

Red and filled with signs of the dead. Where is it coming from?
