[The strange beings had worried her, particularly the fact some people have been wounded by them, but it wasn't until the beings began actively assaulting the building that she realized just what sort of trouble they were getting into.]

Alright, guess the low-profile vacation's over. I don't like waving my title around, but--

This is Hayate Yagami, Time-Space Administration Bureau Marine Defense Force Investigation Commander. Second Lieutenant Signum, Second Lieutenant Vita, Enforcer Harlaown, Instructor Takamachi, and student Takamachi--report immediately!

Everyone, please tell me anything and everything you know about the things in the blizzard. More importantly, please stay inside and stay together! Don't split up for any reason. Even if you know how to fight, please don't go after those...things unless someone is in danger. The priority right now is to keep everyone safe!

If anyone is in danger, please don't hesitate to tell me! I'll do my best to have someone capable get to you to help!

[Ichirin is woken up by the cold.]

[She knows by now that the Necessities sometimes change around, but this seems a bit extreme. That, combined with the raging blizzard outside, suggests pretty strongly that something else is up.
Also, she doesn't need to be that good at math to figure out that two people + one sleeping back = problems. Who is that girl, anyway?]

[Well! Nothing's solving itself here.]

Hey! Are you awake?

[In a nice large open clearing, Ichirin is practicing martial arts! Nothing complicated, just trying to make sure she's in shape in case she has to punch the hell out of the Queen. She's going through some basic forms, some kind of martial art that focuses a lot on punching. Her form is shaky, her blows lack power, and her accuracy leaves a fair bit to be desired, too.]

[Then again, she's not the one who she's really worried about being in shape.]

[Looming in the air directly above Ichirin is twenty feet of purple clouds, condensed into the shape of an enormous woman. Each blow Ichirin makes is mirrored by Unzan, except her versions are hard, fast, and unerring. Some of them are strong enough to send invisible shockwaves of force rippling out into the air beyond the end of the fist. She's being mindful to generally avoid damaging anything in the Garden, because communion with nature blah blah Buddhism don't be a dick.]

[If someone were to approach, Unzan would be more likely to notice them than Ichirin, who is mostly focusing on her partner...]

Progress on killing the Queen: Slow, but remaining optimistic!

Progress on exploring the gardens: Fast! ...Because there's not actually much to explore. We're actually pretty restricted. (Which makes me want to speed up killing the Queen, but, patience and perseverance will conquer all!)

Progress on finding out what the 'anchors' are: ...Nothing but theories. This isn't my specialty at all. Who's a detective around here?

Progress on building my own home: Much, much, much better.

I was so damn sick of sleeping in the wild.

[Vine, video]

[The mirror shows someone new! She hasn't had a chance to change out of her intro gown, but she at least got her coif back so that her head doesn't feel naked. She looks more than a little perplexed.]

Can anyone see this? [She holds up the scroll.] I just received this invitation, and I'm trying to figure out where I need to go to properly reject it. I have too much I have to be doing to play around here.

Unfortunately, I can't find any landmarks I recognize. This doesn't even look like Japan, let alone Gensokyo...

[Action]

[Now properly dressed, Ichirin has plunged into the gardens proper! She's floating a couple feet off the ground, looking for local natives to waylay for assistance, and occasionally stopping to appreciate the sights - the place is very pretty, she has to admit.]

[No, she doesn't know what mistletoe is.]
