⋙ Mission III
[ - ACTION - ]
[Being a battle robot from a war/meteor/alien-torn future Earth, Lamia never has a chance to experience certain common things most would take for granted: such as trees. And squirrels. Running into animals wasn't very commonplace in THE FUTURE, especially for one who spends all her time at military bases in-between blowing things up.
...And, no, certain talking magical subterranean cats didn't count as normal animals.
So, curiosity piqued, Lamia has been trying to familiarize herself with and learn about the nature that was so alien to her but once totally normal to Earth. This begins with idly sitting by and watching the animals, but she eventually gets up to attempt to pet them; of course, being jittery forest creatures, they scurry away before she can touch them. After this happens two or three times, she sighs, crosses her arms, and leans against a tree--accidentally activating the Vine in the process.]
[ - VOICE - ]
Animals are known to have senses and instincts superior to a human's. I wonder if they can tell?
[After, she'll be going back to trying to inspect the squirrels, cats, and other ordinary animals. Feel free to comment via voice or action. Also note: Lamia's voice is identical to Signum's (
brustriese), so castmates or anyone familiar enough to recognize Signum's voice feel free to mistake them.]

Food...?
No, that's right. I'm supposed to leave you alone.

Some of the animals here can understand speech. It might not be a good idea to mention things related to eating them.

[Aaand here's the first person to mistake Lamia for Signum!]

[The woman laughs.] So, what is it you were wondering, Signum?

[Says Signum, for all Fate knows.]

Oh, my! I am so very sorry -- do excuse me! I was looking for an adorable little bunny rabbit!

...Hopefully.]
That's okay. I should have seen you coming. You're looking for rabbits, too?
no subject
I am! But those rascally rabbits have been veeeery clever!
Perhaps we should join forces! Working As a Team always makes things easier -- and more fun! We could have a lovely bunny-finding montage, set to the dulcet tones of a questing song!

[Lamia sighs and resigns herself to this fate. She's learned the hard way that the best course of action with hyperactive and overly nice people is to go with the flow.]
I'm not sure what I'm trying to do myself, but I suppose I can help you find...bunnies.

...Odd, you're less intimidated than the others.

But I'm not sure what they can 'tell.'

If Signum has this many friends, then I should be more careful when speaking...
