[ Some will recognize the purple-haired woman shown in the mirror. Though why she's wearing one of those white shifts given to new arrivals might be a bit odd. Wasn't she a "regular" here? ] Eh? Where....?

[ Looking down at herself, and then around, she stood and walked to the edge of the clearing where she had spotted her clothes. Rather than pick up any one piece of her training uniform she just grabs her necklace and hangs it around her neck. ] Mach Caliber, are you there?

«I am active.» [ Comes the reply of a synthesized female voice, coming right from the necklace's teal gem. ]

Where are we?

«Central arrival position.»

[ That might not be a difficult deduction to make, given the surroundings, but still, it's rather odd how confused the woman seems about this. ] Do you detect anyone in range? Caro, Signum, Nanoha, Fate, Erio, ... Tohma? [ Though the latter are male names, and it's there that she laughs a little. ] No. They wouldn't be here at all, would they? [ Oh good. Seems she really does seem to remember this place. And that means the sight of the Vine recording her isn't all that unusual. She bounds on over. ] Hi everyone! It seems I've gone missing for a while. Can someone tell me the date and... maybe... give me a sound-off?

[ Calmer than a moment ago, she sits down in the grass. ] We don't have to talk long. I just want to make sure that everyone's all right.

(( OOC: And we're back! Though just with Subaru for now, and with a bit of a canon update. For those who would have noticed, she disappeared shortly after the start of the new year. o/ ))

[ She does! And this is not quite the happy reunion she envisioned. ] Did I come in the middle of something? [ One of the semi-regular "incidents" with the Queen, or some outsiders? ]

[ She waves her hand a bit. ]

Akiha. Now she's not here.

[ Katina huffs, shoving that aside. ]

Where are you? I wanna come see you.

Oh. [ The word is like a lead weight dropped right on top of her momentary happiness. She knows what that means, even though some small part of her is... relieved. Happy?

Here for two minutes and her feelings are already warring. This is just great. ] Ah, I'm just in the place where we all arrive, but I was going to change and head to the mansion. [ A pause. ] If it's still there, I mean.

[ It sure simplifies things? It sure simplified things having Subaru and Kris gone, just Katina, and Akiha on the brink of trying to destroy everything. ]

...for at least a little longer, I imagine. I'll meet you there.

Wait, where are you if you're not there? I'll go to you. [ She'll be faster!

Though now that Subaru thinks about it, maybe hanging around there would have been too painful if people had been missing. She'll ask about Kris later. Much as she saw the girl hanging around the mansion, contact was sparse, and she wasn't such a priority at the moment. Let's stick with one potential emotional crisis at once, eh? ]

Didn't feel like staying. I set up a little house near the onsen, but I'm out for a walk.

[ Oh right, no Kris either. No a lot of people. Things have kinda sucked since Subaru disappeared. ]

[ The onsen is going to be easy enough to find. It's a little cold out, but not enough to deter her from hopping on her Wing Road.

Well. In a moment. ] Okay. I'll find you. [ She takes a few shallow breaths to brace herself and then she taps the mirror off, so that she can't be seen changing out of the shift and into her uniform. ]

Mach Caliber!

«Stand by, ready.»

Set up!

[ You know the drill. Look up! ]

You'll be easy enough to spot...

[ She always is. Stopping, a little ways away from anything noteworthy in the gardens, Katina stares up, looking for the shine of Subaru's approach.

Katina waves when she spots it, finally smiling again. ]

[ There is (1) speed demon on approach before too long. Fortunate for Katina, this won't end in one of her trademark lunging hugs. She uses her brakes, first!

...nothing said the hug wouldn't be bone-crushing in some other way, though. ]

[ Arms open wide, Katina's glad that her speed demon doesn't utterly destroy her - she's not really up to that right now. It's still a hell of a hug though, knocking the wind out of her for a moment and making it damn hard to try and squeeze Subaru back. ]

[ After a long moment, she releases her grip somewhat and straightens up. ] Heh. Sorry about that. [ Excited in spite of everything? You could say that. ]

Don't be... I... [ Breathe Katina breathe. ] missed that.

[ Despite needing to catch her breath, though, she's smiling. ]

At least you're here.

Mmn, I am. [ She didn't have the immediate doubt that any of this was real, despite her earlier confusion. Things were just out of place for the moment since going from that world and not remembering anything, to returning here and remembering the combination of events and emotions... yeah, it is taking her brain a moment to catch up. ] I really wish that would stop happening, here.

A little consistency would be nice, and is way, way too much to expect.

[ And now, recovered, she throws her arms around Subaru, though she obviously can't hug nearly as crushingly. ]

[ That's just fine by her. It doesn't have to threaten to snap her bones to be seen as affectionate. ] You're probably right, but I can still hope.

[ Sometimes Katina wouldn't mind not being considerably weaker than her girlfriends... ] Yeah, well, hopefully things can settle down for a little while anyways.

That would be nice. [ Speaking of nice things. ] You said you... made a house? That's a surprise. Can I see it?

Yeah, I... didn't really want to stay in the mansion. It's a little big for one person.

[ Katina shrugs. ] Of course you can see it.

[ It should be answering another question, but Subaru asks it anyway. ] Lambda's gone, too? [ Mach Caliber's turn to be a little downcast, as much as she can be at least. ]

Haven't seen her around, at least.

[ Though Katina was never really particularly close with Lambda, maybe not enough to stick around in the mansion. ]

[ Frowning a bit. ] That's a shame. But I guess she'd feel a little lost without Akiha, too, in her own way. [ Being a loyal protector and all. She releases her grip a little more, but slips her hands around and back for Katina's for a reassuring squeeze. ]

[ She squeezes in return, trying to force a smile to her lips. ]

Yeah. I dunno what else she'd do, honestly.

[ Katina doesn't have to try that hard, but Subaru appreciates it. ] She seemed to be learning how to be more social, but I think she had a long road ahead of her. [ And now, who knows where that road would take her, back home. ]

Wherever she is, I hope she manages without us from now on.

[ ...she probably got reset by Kokonoe if anything out of the ordinary was going on. ]

I'm sure she'll be fine. [ Or so she truly hopes, as she actually knows very little of her current situation, much as they might have in common. ]

Should we get going? I'm actually pretty chilly, since coming here straight from training. [ Which means she was pretty revved up when she was yanked away. ]
