[Today, while roaming the Gardens, you might come across an unusual sight. Sure, there has been blonde maid in the Gardens for the past month and a half or so, but not one that is so...short. Or young. Upon closer examination, though, it seems that the clothes she is wearing are too big for her, and there's a bag of popcorn from the café cradled in her arms. Ah. Maybe that explains it.]
[The rabbits seem to be out in full force today, too, which isn't exactly helping matters. They harry Yumeko as they follow along at her heels, nipping at her socks and constantly getting underfoot in a way that offers just enough room to act like they aren't trying to trip her. Yumeko's scowl deepens more and more the longer this goes on, until finally she outright growls and throws the bag right at them in frustration. It's tossed with all the force she can muster, candy spilling everywhere as it hits the ground.]
[Whether or not that makes them scatter, Yumeko stomps past them without a backward glance at the mess she's made.]
Hmph...
[ ooc: JSYK, Yumeko has retained all her memories. The deaging isn't just physical, though — her mentality has also regressed, so despite her best efforts to do otherwise, she'll be behaving like a child. ]

[Yumeko gasps.]
You're—?!
[Definitely not an elegant greeting befitting of Shinki's maid, but it'll have to do.]
no subject
She tilts her head to the side, thoughtfully, eyes narrowing critically. ] I'm—?
no subject
[Have you ever seen a preteen trying to look so righteously angry? It's funnier when she has to gather up her over-long skirts to move without taking the risk of tripping over them and falling right on her face. She takes a step or two back as she hikes them up, not...sure how to handle this situation with Yuuka right in front of her and herself in her current state.]

Though that doesn't change the fact that she probably said the same thing hundreds of times when she actually was that age.Nastily, she adds,] And the animals can take care of the food — though I guess they're already doing that, aren't they?[It is, perhaps, not a great idea to yip at Yuuka when she's like this, but Yumeko puts duty above most everything else, and right now, with an enemy of Makai in front of her, her duty is...to be antagonistic. Yes.]
no subject
Not that she's paying any attention to it. ] Why should they have to do your work for you? It doesn't seem fair.
no subject
The only ones I see around here are troublemakers. Extra chores are a nicer punishment than they deserve.
[Totally talking about the rabbits. Right.]

Hmm. That's odd. Yuuka shrugged a shoulder and nearly shrugged off half of her vest doing so. Did the ground feel like it was closer? ] That only works if you can... force them to go through with them. [ Yuuka sounds more and more uncertain as she looks up into the canopy of her umbrella. What before provided a bit of shade for her looked to be a massive fixture that threatened to engulf her entire. And it was heavier, too. ] What in the...?
no subject
You're shrinking! [A statement of the obvious, maybe, but she just blurts it out without thinking.]
no subject
Her mentality? Well, who truly knows, because no matter what she's halfway to throwing a tantrum over it. She shuts her umbrella and jabs the tip in the girl's direction. ] Just what kind of trick do you think you're pulling, here?
no subject
[But she looks more surprised than anything. Her gaze flicks between Yuuka and the discarded bag of candied popcorn a few times, realization dawning a little more with every lap her eyes make. So, then it really is...!]
[She stomps closer, her brow furrowing as she scowls. The expression isn't directed at Yuuka, though, and when she's close enough, she hikes up her skirt and kicks the bag as hard as she can.]
It was that! It did it to me, too!

This feels weird. It has been quite the long time since she's had a body this sized; she can barely associate it with "childhood" any longer.
At least her thoughts don't appear to have been altered. ] Then you're not a child at all. Who are you?
no subject
no subject
Ah yes, that horribly inhospitable place. [ She narrows her eyes at the girl and smiles pleasantly. ] How could I ever forget?
no subject
no subject
So she basically goes down like a sack of flour. ] Oof!
[ For a long moment she just sits on her duff and stares up at the diminutive maid. ] How... How dare you! [ She scrambles to her feet and rushes Yumeko, arms flailing as she tries to grab hold of something — wrists, arms, sleeves. ]

[At some point, she'll realize that being an elegant and mature lady also means not yanking someone's hair and trying to wrestle them to the ground, but, you know. "At some point."]
no subject
Reacting, she pushes the "girl" away and lets go, hands flying to her own forehead as she crumples to the ground on her knees. The stars across her vision and the accompanying sharp pain are quite the distraction. Any further down and she might just have broken her nose. ]
no subject
Ooou...
no subject
One hand over her splitting gut, the other pointing right at Yumeko. ] You... look... so... DUMB right now!! I wish you could see yourself. [ It's hard to say if her mind's been affected now, or not. ]
no subject
I don't... I don't see what's so funny!
[She scrambles to her feet, brushing her skirt off in some desperate attempt to reclaim her dignity... And then almost trips over it again in her haste, accidentally stepping on its hem.]
