[Forward-dated to after dark.]

--kidding? It's been a year and that woman--

[There's a seething hiss then, the Vine opening the mirror after the sun has set, and the profile of a familiar young woman with long dark hair can been seen in the shadows, the moonlight reflecting off of the white shift she's wearing.

Akiha tilts her head back, turning it up toward the sky, and closes her eyes. She counts to ten, calming her temper. Reaching up to tuck some hair behind her ear, a gold bangle on her wrist, she lets out a slow breath before looking around for her clothes. A cat skitters away as Akiha turns from the mirror muttering.]

Bring me back-- Don't even know if that idiot and brute are still here-- Ridiculous.

If the mansion isn't still here, I'm going to...

[Her voice trails off as she finds her clothes and walks out of view of the Vine, not even realizing it had been on. The Vine and Akiha still don't get along.]

[Eventually, Akiha finds the mansion, glad to see it's intact. She heads inside and immediately goes upstairs to her bedroom. Better catch her before the door is closed or she won't be seen until morning.]

[ooc: Akiha is back from her canon update.]

It's okay to say you're glad I'm back. This is, after all, the only place you and I will ever see each other.

[She pauses in her brushing and a smile touches her lips.]

How long until you're over here?

In that case, I'm really glad you're back.

[ She sighs, visibly loosening up. ]

Just give me a few minutes.

[Akiha smirks a bit, pulling her watch over so it's visible.]

Four minutes. Don't be late.

[Oh, yes, she knows that means Katina will have to run...]

Four minutes? That's nothing.

[ It's something, for a lot of people, but what's she in shape for if not to... come at Akiha's beck and call... ...

With about twenty seconds to spare, there's a knock at the door. Katina's on the other side composing herself, catching her breath as best she can before Akiha answers. ]

[Glancing at the watch, Akiha smiles seeing Katina was indeed not late. Setting her brush down, she heads over - in her robe, of course - and opens the door.

Maybe in person, Katina can see that Akiha does look older or maybe it was just the way she carries herself. Still proper posture, but the sheer rigidity isn't there anymore. Eyes still icy look over Katina's form as she hadn't seen her in a year. The muscles, the sweat...]

Right on time. Good. [She stepped back once in invitation for Katina to come inside.]

[ It's striking, almost immediately that Akiha seems... looser? More at ease with herself?

Why couldn't she have been there to help with it, or at least see it happen? Missing out on that doesn't feel very fair, but... at the same time, hopefully she hasn't changed much.

Katina walks in, a grin stretching across her face. ]

You need to make it tougher on me.

I thought that perhaps with my absence, you'd have gotten lazy. It has been a while...

[Be patient. She'll eventually adjust to the fact that everyone else only went a week to her year.]

Tch. Close the door.

[ Door shut.

A year for Akiha, just a week for everyone here. What about her brother? Those maids of hers who were here ages ago? She's not sure if she even wants to ask. ]

I don't stay in shape just to show off to you, you know.

I know, but I doubt anyone pushes you as much as I do. I like it when you show off to me.

[Akiha walks up to Katina and runs a hand up her arm, grasping it.]

Get down here.

Yeah, well... I like showing off.

[ Well, this is a good enough way to assuage any worries. Katina leans down, pressing her forehead against Akiha's. ]

Ha. So, I guess you haven't forgotten much...

A year is a long time to remember insignificant things. [Her hand continues up into Katina's hair.] I don't recall a lot of things.

But I don't forget those that are mine.

[ There's a tightness in Katina's chest at that, and she can't help smiling. ]

...I'm glad. When you said it'd been a year for you I was... kinda worried, honestly.

[ Enough time for a lot of things to change, but if this hasn't then there's nothing to be nervous about. ]

There's nothing to worry about. Now... stop talking.

[And Akiha makes sure Katina can't say anything, kissing her.]

[ Nothing else needs to be said, now, and she kisses back, wrapping her arms around Akiha's body. ]

[Akiha's body temperature is still unnaturally low, but not as much as before. The kiss, though, is warm and telling of just how much Akiha missed Katina.]

[ That cool body temperature is familiar, and almost comforting in a way, and their kiss is much more emotionally deep than usual, in a way. There's so much more feeling in it, that Katina hesitates to make it more passionate.

[For the moment, Akiha was being more honest about things than usual. There was no telling when the moment would end and the tsun would come back out. Katina would be wise to savor the moment before it was gone.

Akiha's hands slid from Katina's shoulders, up her neck and into her hair. Feeling the coarseness of those blonde strands, she hums in appreciation. Just how she remembered...]

[ Even if it can't last forever, Katina will make sure to remember it for that long. She tilts her head slightly, leaning down in further to kiss Akiha more deeply, as she runs her fingers through that long, black hair, just as she feels the same in her own, less meticulously cared for hair. ]

[Akiha's hair was even longer now. A few inches at most, but she probably wouldn't let it get any longer. Status symbol or not, even she had a limit where it would just get in the way of everything and she wasn't about to start braiding it like Sion to compensate for the length.

Rising up on her toes, Akiha met that kiss, tongue tangling with Katina's. How she loved the taste of her... And then her hand slid down to the other woman's neckline. Was she wearing it or had she thrown it away when the half-demon was no longer in the Garden?]

[ With only a week for her, Katina notices it, but it's natural that it wouldn't be the same length all the time. ~~Katina's totally been having Grell cut her hair or something~~.

Her tongue wrestles with Akiha's, asserting a little control now, though it's just as likely to fade away if the other wishes it. That collar is still there; if anything, Katina's taken it off less often in the past week. ]

[Freeing the collar from beneath Katina's shirt, Akiha's hand slips under it and let the chain rest between her thumb and forefinger, holding onto it while also running her hand along Katina's neck. Possessive, yes, but without an iron grip. In fact, she melts into the kiss and Akiha uses the collar as an anchor, to not let herself be swept away too much.]

[ See how good she is Akiha? Even if she wasn't in denial about Akiha leaving like Kris was, she figured it was only a matter of time before they met up again.

Of course, the collar didn't mean that Katina couldn't be in charge just a little bit, and she rests a hand on Akiha's waist, kissing her with a growing intensity. ]

[What a good girl. A very good girl. Akiha decided to reward that loyalty before she lost herself in Katina's lips.

Choosing to negate the height difference, Akiha let go of the collar and gripped Katina's shoulders. And during a pause for breath, she hopped up, knowing Katina could handle her weight easily. Being on eye level would be much better on their necks.]

[ She wouldn't disappoint Akiha over something like that. Even if she hadn't been wearing it, she'd have put it on before coming over.

Katina didn't know what Akiha was doing at first, when those hands came down on her shoulders, but feeling the weight put on them, she shifted her arms as Akiha jumped, shifting them under her to lift her up. ]

[Knees pressing on Katina's sides to help, Akiha was able to deepen the kiss even more. Arms about her neck, hands moving into Katina's hair, Akiha let her restraint go and was just right then in the moment.

She had missed the way Katina got past her barriers and under her skin in so many ways...]
