[There's a seething hiss then, the Vine opening the mirror after the sun has set, and the profile of a familiar young woman with long dark hair can been seen in the shadows, the moonlight reflecting off of the white shift she's wearing.

Akiha tilts her head back, turning it up toward the sky, and closes her eyes. She counts to ten, calming her temper. Reaching up to tuck some hair behind her ear, a gold bangle on her wrist, she lets out a slow breath before looking around for her clothes. A cat skitters away as Akiha turns from the mirror muttering.]

Bring me back-- Don't even know if that idiot and brute are still here-- Ridiculous.

If the mansion isn't still here, I'm going to...

[Her voice trails off as she finds her clothes and walks out of view of the Vine, not even realizing it had been on. The Vine and Akiha still don't get along.]

[Eventually, Akiha finds the mansion, glad to see it's intact. She heads inside and immediately goes upstairs to her bedroom. Better catch her before the door is closed or she won't be seen until morning.]

[She leaned down to press her lips to Kris' forehead.]

[No, Kris didn't know what to say. But the hurt and vulnerable look on her face probably said much more than she could word. Right now, she couldn't decide whether to be happy or mad.]

It wasn't my choice to leave. I don't know what happened, but if I could've taken you with me, I would have. I was returned to Misaki City.

[It's all Akiha's fault that Kris has feelings too!

Either way, she GUESSES she can accept that as an answer. But that doesn't stop her from suddenly clinging onto Akiha and sobbing.]

[And she wraps her arms about Kris, holding her and stroking her hair as Kris cries.]

I can't promise I won't, having been taken away from here before, but I won't willingly leave without taking you with me.

[That's good enough for Kris. Even though she has teary eyes, she backs up a little and gives Akiha a smile.]

[Akiha wipes them away. Check out the etherlite bangle, Kris.]

[She'll check it out when she's done not being sad/happy over Akiha.]

I won't promise anything but I'll try.

I'll accept that.

[And she'll press a soft kiss to Kris' lips briefly before pulling back.]

Now, straighten the sheets and covers out so I can lay down.

[After that kiss, she hurriedly hops up with a sniff and starts to adjust the bed.]

[Akiha will get out of the way, finally remembering to take the bangle off, before turning back to watch Kris.]

I was told you spent a lot of time looking for me.

I might have.

[Working on the comforter now.]

Fionna says you refused to believe I was gone.

[She walks back over and waits.]

[Kris would prefer to be evasive around that statement. So instead, she just finishes up the bed and sits on the side of it.]

[Akiha crawls into bed and beckons Kris to join her.]

She says it was sweet and that I'm lucky. I don't like agreeing with her, but I have to this time.

You would do the same for me.

[She takes that invitation and crawls under the covers.]

[Except she wouldn't have been in denial.]

Mm. Come here. I haven't seen you in a long time.

[She scoots on over to be right beside Akiha.]

It's been a really long time.

[A few days but...FOREVER]

[That would be an arm about Kris, pulling her close.]

How long was I gone? To me, it was a year...

[Akiha closes her eyes and sighed.]
