--kidding? It's been a year and that woman--

[There's a seething hiss then, the Vine opening the mirror after the sun has set, and the profile of a familiar young woman with long dark hair can been seen in the shadows, the moonlight reflecting off of the white shift she's wearing.

Akiha tilts her head back, turning it up toward the sky, and closes her eyes. She counts to ten, calming her temper. Reaching up to tuck some hair behind her ear, a gold bangle on her wrist, she lets out a slow breath before looking around for her clothes. A cat skitters away as Akiha turns from the mirror muttering.]

Bring me back-- Don't even know if that idiot and brute are still here-- Ridiculous.

If the mansion isn't still here, I'm going to...

[Her voice trails off as she finds her clothes and walks out of view of the Vine, not even realizing it had been on. The Vine and Akiha still don't get along.]


[Eventually, Akiha finds the mansion, glad to see it's intact. She heads inside and immediately goes upstairs to her bedroom. Better catch her before the door is closed or she won't be seen until morning.]

Yes. I am more than capable of following a calendar considering I have a daily planner, many meetings. It is the end of August, isn't it?

No, it's.... July. Late on the 4th? [ Based on calculations on holidays and such that have lapsed while here. She has no idea of the significance of the date. ]

[Akiha's brow furrows and she takes that in. She knows it was August. It's been a year... why--]

[Akiha thinks on that for the moment, idly playing with the gold bangle on her wrist.]

...to be honest, I don't recall thinking of any of you. Or this place.

It took me a bit to figure out why it felt familiar when the cat came to me with a scroll.

[ Subaru furrows her brow. ] Do you think you went back to the last thing you remembered before the first time you woke up here?

[ A pause, and then she explains herself. ] I heard that time stops, back home. Or something like that, anyway. That's why I wanted to know.

Gal said the same to me when she returned. It seems it also happened with me.

That's... that's good, then. [ Subaru smiles, though it isn't all that happy. ] It means we could still go back and finish what we started...


[ If she ever leaves, that is.

She shakes her head. ] But you! What about you? Did a lot happen in that year?

[ Somehow she is not at all surprised that Akiha isn't saying much. ] Mm. I understand.

It's pretty late. Are you going to be okay getting back to the mansion? Like I said, things have been quiet the past few days but... [ She is worried about what might be coming after that beach party. ]

As long as it's still where I left it.

Oh! [ She snaps her fingers. ] That's right. Someone else woke up, earlier today, who knew you. That's why I went there — to show them where it was.

Kohaku? Hisui? [Her eyes are hopeful. And then they narrow and grow cold.]

Ciel? Arcueid?

[She then tilted her head, expression lightening.] Or Sion?

O-oh! Uh. Sion! [ Did she give the right answer? ] She said she's known you for a while, so I thought it was okay to bring her there...

And she is correct. Sion is my friend. One of the 'good' things about this last year for me.

She is? [ Subaru beams. You can practically see a tail wagging behind her. She did good! ]

Of course! Any friend of yours is a friend of mine. [ She hoped. ]

Just watch the enthusiasm levels with her; you're a bit overwhelming to someone like her.

Oh, should something regarding your 'special circumstances' come up, Sion will probably be able to help.

My...? [ That catches her off guard a moment. She hadn't expected that to come up. ] Oh. Mm, I'll ... keep that in mind.

I won't tell her, though. But the resource is there.
