[...A luxury spa? Since when did the Gardens have one of those? As if to clear up the confusion on that very subject, she continues:]

[She finds walking into one of the wings only to find it has been replaced with something completely foreign to be rather troublesome, it seems.]

[With that said, she falls quiet for a moment. One might even think Akiha has escaped their previous, awkward topic of conversation. But then—]

How does one determine whether or not they are romantically interested in another person?

[If determining the nature of a relationship is so complicated on its own, the question seems worth asking.]

Yes. Someone you enjoy spending time with for non-logical reasons. Someone you have any level of romantic interest in.

...I do not think I have experienced any feelings which meet the qualifications of "romantic."

Perhaps 'romantic' is too much for you right now. How about an 'interest' in someone instead? I don't mean interested in their abilities or what they are, but of who they are. Personality, background... all that stuff.

[Akiha nods. Subaru understands the whole cyborg thing.]

She's a good person. And I don't say that often about anyone. Perhaps it would be a good idea to spend some time with her. Free time.

[Looking over the various tubes of cream, Akiha finds one and hands it to Lambda.]

Give yourself a full scrubbing with that, but be careful not to overdo it. If your skin starts looking a little pink, you're using too much pressure. Then wash it off and come back.
