[There's a quiet rustle, and the blur of green gradually begins to separate into whites, blacks, browns. An eye fills the mirror, framed by a thin black rim.

[The owner of the eye sounds blandly pleasant, and not at all as though she believes there is anything odd about her end of the conversation.]

People normally don't look into these things so closely.

[ Said as she leans in closer herself. ]

Oh, is that so?

[Close up, eyes can look pretty bizarre. Veins, whorls of color, fleshy corners. There are dark circles under Anthy's, but the whites of her eyes are very white.]

[ That's not something she's ever had to think about.

...eyes do look kinda weird that close, but at least the girl has pretty eyes, even if she needs more sleep. ]

It's harder to tell who I'm talking to.

Ah, my apologies!

[She does not actually move back from the mirror.]

My name is Himemiya Anthy.

I guess I don't know you anyways, then.

[ Larry nods politely. Anthy, you should probably move away after talking about all that. ]

I'm Larry Vincent. Are you new here?

[himemiya_anthy]

[A brief pause as Anthy gives this question due consideration.]

Where?

[That may be all the answer she needs.]

D-do you know where you are?

[ Does she live in some kind of magic garden? ]

[himemiya_anthy]

It appears that I'm in a garden.

[She leans back some, perhaps to look around. The mirror now has an excellent view of her left shoulder and a sizable expanse of her chin.]

A really really big one with really smart cats. If you haven't noticed.

[ Oh, that's a very nice... chin you have there. Larry's not even frustrated though - Anthy's way too... Anthy. ]

[himemiya_anthy]

[Anthy brightens. Not that Larry can tell.]

Yes, they've been very kind.

[She ought to demonstrate a polite interest.]

Do you know where you are?

About as well as anyone here. It... doesn't really have a particular name. But we've all been kidnapped, for lack of a better word - and if you'll believe it, we're not even in the same... universe or dimension that we all come from.

[ Hopefully that's not too much of an information overload. ]

Ah, I see.

[She moves again; now her ear and part of her upper cheekbone have the screen. Inasmuch as they are capable of conveying emotion, she appears unruffled.]

[ Larry holds back a sigh. It would help if she could actually see all of Anthy's face like someone relatively normal, if only to identify her again. Purple hair... green eyes... tan skin... she'll have to remember the combination. ]

[The mirror goes briefly blank, and then clears to show almost a full shot of Anthy's face, though the left side is cut off. Her mouth is moving. There is no sound.

She looks cheerful.]

[ Well. At least she can see the girl's face now, but somehow she broke the vine.

Broke the magical plant. ]

I can't... I can't hear you. Can you hear me?

[himemiya_anthy]

[Anthy's mouth forms the word "yes."

Her face is visible now! Surely that's the important thing.]

You messed something up.

[ At least she finally knows what Anthy looks like. That'll help in the future. ]

Do you want me to just come find you, or are you alright? Nod or shake your head.

[himemiya_anthy]

[After a brief pause, she carefully shakes her head.

Then she opens her mouth and begins to speak again (this time more rapidly) for a few muted seconds, after which point the image cuts out mid-word.]
