[action] the Mansion
[Her plants have been rescued and are quite happy, aside from the lack of sunlight, so Vitalia has determined to take her exercise, or at least as much exercise as she can obtain from roaming the mansion and then possibly braving the storm for a few minutes. (She can't exactly go swimming, but in this level of rain, she can at least fulfill her body's needs of water.)
[Unfortunately, the mansion seems more interested in prolonging her walk than in remaining reliably laid out. This would be disconcerting on its own; the sourceless voices aren't really helping, either, and this is combining with an already on-edge state brought about from a loud storm and the destruction of her home.
[In short, Vitalia is a few steps away from becoming entirely hysterical.]

The peasants, back home... they suddenly turned on us. I can't understand why, but...
We lost so much... [She sniffles and wipes her eyes]

What's important is that you're safe now.

Are we really safe now? It's so terrible... what if this place can't withstand the storm?
no subject
It's held up so far. I'm sure we'll be all right. [she cracks a small smile.]
Reno seems to be doing more damage than the storm itself.

[wait]
What is "reno"?

Miss...Vitalia? Are you all right?

I appreciate your concern, but I've been staying with her for a few months now, and I'm all right. But if she's bothered you, I'll give her a good talking to.

You must have some sort of power over her! Why, the woman assaulted me with no provocation!
no subject
[she puts a hand over Vitalia's, looking genuinely upset.]

Oh, but I do assure you, I have survived worse! When compared to the revolt, I'm sure it was nothing. But it was quite a rude awakening to find myself less safe here than I had first assumed.

I'm sure if Papi had met someone like you early on, his life would have been much happier!
no subject
You're welcome. I'm sure there are others here that are just as kind, you just haven't met them yet.
no subject
If only men were allowed here, I'm sure Papi would find it quite to his liking! We could all live together quite comfortably.

What of yourself? You must have someone you hope to see again.

Yes, I do...I miss my family and friends from the village.

You lived in a village, then?
