[action] the Mansion
[Her plants have been rescued and are quite happy, aside from the lack of sunlight, so Vitalia has determined to take her exercise, or at least as much exercise as she can obtain from roaming the mansion and then possibly braving the storm for a few minutes. (She can't exactly go swimming, but in this level of rain, she can at least fulfill her body's needs of water.)
[Unfortunately, the mansion seems more interested in prolonging her walk than in remaining reliably laid out. This would be disconcerting on its own; the sourceless voices aren't really helping, either, and this is combining with an already on-edge state brought about from a loud storm and the destruction of her home.
[In short, Vitalia is a few steps away from becoming entirely hysterical.]

[action]
And this is precisely what she does, right in front of Vitalia.]
Hey, freak.

Relax, Fishy. I ain't gonna hurt you. [True as that is (currently), that doesn't stop her from saying it in a menacing tone.]

So, I guess you can walk. [She twirls her rod again, the electrical end of it swinging down near Vitalia's skirt.]
no subject
y- yes, of course...
please, I...
no subject
What's wrong with you? Scared of the dark?

Told ya, my building got torn up.
no subject
[Thunder! Lightning! A shriek! And suddenly there is a Vitalia cowering behind Reno rather than in front of her.]
no subject
What are you, six years old? It's just a little storm.
no subject
i- i d-don't expect a... a thug l- like yourself t- to understand!
no subject
It's obvious nothing's gonna happen to these buildings. [If this place is still standing when everything else got wrecked, she's sure the Queen means for them to hang out here.]

[poor girl...Claire's heart goes out to her immediately.]
Are you all right?
no subject
[Congratulations, you now have a Vitalia attached to your waist.]
no subject
You don't do well with storms? It's all right. Let's find somewhere a bit quieter, if we can.
no subject
[She'll follow wherever Claire leads; her focus right now is on blubbering.]
no subject
There's no one here but us--I'm sure it's just nerves. I can go try to salvage some tea from the kitchen, that might help.
no subject
[She immediately follows Claire as she moves to leave. Vitalia is going to be a barnacle today.]
no subject
It's probably just someone else who found their way here to shelter from the storm. Don't worry.
no subject
[She settles, trying to convince herself.]
Do forgive me... It's just, with this dreadful storm, and losing so much of my greenhouse...
It's rather reminiscent.
no subject
[a greenhouse? That must have meant a lot of hard work.]
When this is over, I'll help you fix it up. But reminiscent of what, exactly?
no subject
The peasants, back home... they suddenly turned on us. I can't understand why, but...
We lost so much... [She sniffles and wipes her eyes]
no subject
What's important is that you're safe now.
no subject
Are we really safe now? It's so terrible... what if this place can't withstand the storm?
