[The vine catches Alfimi approaching the lake. Next on her "do something I've never done before" agenda is "swimming." She takes a moment, just staring at the water from the shore. She walks a little closer and stares some more. Eventually she moves her leg and puts a toe in the water. She pulls back almost instantly, looking surprised. After several attempts, she's finally comfortable enough and sits down on the edge of the lake and puts both legs in the water.]

This feels... strange.

That could be just about anywhere, honestly. Even the non-Earth worlds that the Queen takes people from seem to be like that from what I can tell.

Hmmm. [All she really knew of was that and the Einst dimension.] I don't know much about the differences between worlds, so I don't know how to describe it. The land below... the structures in space [The space colonies.]... and the thing they called the White Star. ...It's not there anymore, though.
