Oh, hello everyone. Zenobia here. Let's see. First, I want to thank everyone who helped me when I got in trouble on the beach last week. Especially Vivio and Epsilon. You're my heroes!

But the main thing I wanted to talk about is that I'm going to be romantically unavailable until this Friday. I'm helping Jessica understand why she deserves and needs love by being her wife for a week. Oh right, so Jessica will also be unavailable romantically, too. Unless she's interested in a very special kind of marriage, but I don't think she'd be into that.

Most of the people in Beaumont seem to have plenty going on just on their own, so I'm not too worried about them, but still.

It's going well, I think. We're spending lots of time together, sharing meals, and I've got her to give me a few hugs. We've also had a lot of passionate talks, but I'm hoping I can do more. I just want her to understand that she doesn't have to feel like she doesn't deserve love.

It's always good to let people know where you are around this place, with all the odd things that happen. I'm sure they'll appreciate the notice.

Sounds like you're off to a good start, from what I know about being married. [She's practically married herself, but that's besides the point.] I hope you manage to convince her. You're right; no one should have to feel that way.

Thanks. Well, I don't know how much the queen will like it, seeing as it's just for a week... but maybe it will keep her from doing anything crazy for a little while longer? ...I assume she's to blame for the weird things that happen here, at least.

Ha! I doubt she'll stop doing crazy things, but that would be a relief.

I'm Zenobia! It's a pleasure to meet you. I've been here in the gardens for about a month so far. It's a pretty nice place, for the most part.

It's good to meet you, Zenobia. [she pauses, trying to remember how long she'd been in the Gardens.] I was here for almost three, but I got sent back home a little while ago. I'm not too sure how much time has passed since I was here last, but if you haven't had a hard time of it, I'm guessing the Queen and those others running about have been quiet since I've been gone.

There have been some crazy constructs... er, robots, I mean, and an ocean appeared... oh, but the queen didn't do that. And yeah, I've only gotten a chance to actually see the Queen once since I've been here. And it was over the vine and she just got angry and didn't let anyone respond.

I remember that. Back home, we call them Pulsework. I don't remember an ocean, though. Guess I must've missed it.

[Fang's eyebrows knit together.] So, she had another temper tantrum, huh? That means something's about to happen, and I'll bet Gil it's gonna be a pain in the ass.

Pulsework... that's an interesting name. Yeah, Xion and Mahalia, I think, made an ocean by... doing something to all the magic dirt in the sand-dunes. It was a nice diversion, although the water there cursed me for a few days.

Yeah, Miss Queen was way angry. She said something about it being the month of devotion to your lover, and... not enough of us having lovers? Not exactly the first thing I thought I'd hear from here.

And it seems the stars have disappeared from the sky. I though it an ill omen at first, but nothing's happened yet...

Gran Pulse is the name of my world, and since most of the machines there were created for mining and the like, the name Pulsework stuck. [She remembers Xion, and Mahalia, vaguely.] Huh. I've heard of things like that happening before.

That sounds like bad news. You'll get used to her going on about love and romance. [She scoffs, puts a hand on her hip.] It's the reason she's got us here.

...Stars disappearing? That's a bad omen, without a doubt. [Maybe the Queen was a fal'Cie, like Lightning had mentioned.] Sounds like we're going to have to keep our eyes peeled for a while.

I love hearing about other worlds. Multiple worlds were just a theory before I came here. Though there were groups of people back home that seemed pretty certain about it.

Yeah, I figured. Though I'm not sure exactly what she wants, and more importantly, why.

I should probably be ready for anything.

It's a certainty, where I'm from. There's Cocoon, a shell in the sky, and Gran Pulse, which is below.

We'll figure it out soon enough. [she smirks.] You and the missus should stay on your guard.

Oh wow. I want to hear about them someday, if it's not inconvenient.

Will do. I'll protect her too if I have to. Though I'm not very strong anymore.

I could be convinced to talk about them. [a lazy shrug. Her opinion of Cocoon might be a little skewed, but she doesn't mind talking about either place.]

You'll figure something out. Just stay close to home, and avoid any giant flowers or mysterious candy boxes, and you'll be fine.

I'll probably bug you about them at some point. [Plus Zenobia will want an excuse to talk to her again.]

Okay, they told me about the giant flowers... what's this about candy boxes?

We got candy a while back, and depending on what sort you ate, something strange happened. It seemed to encourage a lot of people to get touchy-feely, but it was harmless besides that. Not that I mind touchy-feely, of course. I just prefer it on my terms.

Wow. [She's kinda sad that she missed that.] That must have been really weird. I've said it before, but the Queen is twisted.

Not as weird as the carnivorous roses, but that's not saying much. And as for the Queen being twisted, that's definitely something I can agree with.
