Oh, hello everyone. Zenobia here. Let's see. First, I want to thank everyone who helped me when I got in trouble on the beach last week. Especially Vivio and Epsilon. You're my heroes!

But the main thing I wanted to talk about is that I'm going to be romantically unavailable until this Friday. I'm helping Jessica understand why she deserves and needs love by being her wife for a week. Oh right, so Jessica will also be unavailable romantically, too. Unless she's interested in a very special kind of marriage, but I don't think she'd be into that.

You think so, too? I just want people to understand that love is a wonderful thing. I mean, it's fine to be single, but when someone actively states that they're not good enough to have love, I just have to step in.

I still want to try. Hearing her speak of it... it was like she'd never consider it an option... that she didn't deserve it. I have to do my best to convince her that that's not true. Even if I can only succeed a tiny bit, that's better than nothing.

[She smiles, then pauses, considering.] I don't mean to offend, but that isn't quite what being a wife means. The idea behind a marriage is a lasting commitment between two equals.

Couldn't you help Jessica by being a loyal friend to her? In the long run, I think that would do a great deal more for her self-confidence.

I've already pledged to do so, however, so I'm going to keep this up. Maybe it wasn't the best way, but I feel like progress is being made. After that, if she's okay with it, I'll be a loyal friend.

Well, Zenobia, I don't want for you to take this amiss, but I do have a friendly relationship with Jessica and think that I know her if not well, then more than casually. I actually have had the impression from her that this sort of-- closeness was something she had little to no interest in, at least currently. She strikes me as a very intelligent young woman-- I find it odd that she'd suddenly agree that this sort of plan would help her "understand that she needs love".

[Reeve pauses to push a lock of hair behind one ear.]
However, all that aside, I was under the impression that you are, for lack of a better word, "ancient". Whereas Jessica hasn't yet come of age on her world. This age difference is a little problematic from a "marriage" standpoint, don't you think?

Huh. When we talked, she said that she wasn't worthy of being loved. That she didn't deserve it. I wanted to prove her wrong. If you think I'm somehow twisting her arm, would you like to talk to her face-to-face on the matter? She's nearby.

[The word 'ancient' hits Zenobia like an arrow.] I am... very old... yes. But.. I don't see why that is bad. I'm not sure what you mean by "come of age," but Jessica looks mature to me.
