( The post starts with a not-all-that-quiet laugh, like someone is trying to hold themselves back and really failing quite thoroughly. A moment later, the mirror reveals Jules and Gabrielle. The prior is leaning a bit gracelessly against the bar, chin propped up on her hand as she grins. She doesn’t seem to be paying attention to the mirror right away, pointing at something, and then taking note and waving.
A moment later a scroll unfurls, revealing a list - a list that would appear to be a work in progress.
It reads as follows (in rather swirly handwriting, as well):
Gabrielle - french pearl
Jules - french kiss
Fang - tequila shooter
Reno - dragons breath
Emilia - red wine
Fela - sex on the beach
Caprica - adonis
Dominique - mojito
Mami - lemondrop
Zenobia - between the sheets
Aya - brassy blonde
Reeve - metropole
Kanaya - green alien
Jules laughs again, glancing towards Gabrielle. ) Are you sure Sex on the Beach is right for Fela? It's a bit... well, a little forward. Maybe something more like a Bellini would be good. They’re very classy and tropical. Summery, you know?
( Gabrielle, on the other hand, still keeps her elegant poise. Even with a martini on the bartop next to her. She raises her hand a bit, palm facing up. )
She was topless on a beach, Jules. If that doesn’t say Sex on the Beach, then I don’t know what does.
I-- ( Ah. After holding her hand up for a moment in an apparent show of protest, Jules lets it drop back to the back with a little sigh, conceding defeat. ) I suppose you’re right, yes, that is rather conclusive.
Now, who else do we have. . . Adonis for Caprica, that seems perfect, the name alone is just... all mysterious and beautiful and interesting. And Em-- ( She shoots a grin at someone off camera, one can only assume Emilia herself ) Em gets red wine because simple, classy and French suits very well, and can give you a terrible hangover if you don't respect it. Nice red wine, though, not the sort that you get in a cardboard box, or something.
( A moment or two, and she's mulling it over thoughtfully, tapping at the list. ) What about a Flaming Redhead for Reno? I can't say I've ever had a Dragon's Breath.
( A quick amused glance to Emilia, Gabrielle shakes her head at Jules’ statement. She taps the paper with a slender finger. ) Too much whipped cream, not enough hot sauce. Dragon's Breath is spicy, strong, and assertive.
It's also very persistent in getting you drunk.
( She pauses, amused with herself. ) Just like a certain redhead that we know. ( Pressing her lips into a smile, she lifts her glass to her lips. ) Who else is there?
( Gabrielle is good at this game. Thinking that over, Jules gravely sips her drink, something extremely bright with an umbrella sticking out of it. An outcome, no doubt, of the discussion of various cocktails that has made her veer away from her usual staples of wine and cosmopolitans. A moments skips past, and she nods her consent, before returning to the list. ) Well, let’s see-- Dragon’s Breath for Reno, I suppose, and then there was Green Alien for Kanaya and Metropole for Reeve, although I can’t say I’ve had the pleasure of meeting them yet. Consider me intrigued, though! Mojito for Dominique, because she’s so relaxed and interesting, which I think fits. Very calm, but rather refreshing, which seems appropriate.
( Hmmm. More staring at the list, as she takes the cocktail stick out of her now-empty glass and drags the cherry off it with her teeth. ) Who's Fang? The name doesn't ring a bell.
I'm not all that acquainted with her, I've only spoken to her once. ( She keeps her eyes on Jules, her lips curling into a smirk ) But from that experience alone, I could tell that she wasn't all that complicated... hence why the tequila shooter works!
Abrasive, curt, something that takes time to get used to if you're not used to having alcohol. She wouldn't make a very good cocktail from what I can see.
And Aya- ( Gabrielle waves her air in the hand a bit. ) There's no other choice for her but a Brassy Blonde. ( She takes a moment to pause and finish her drink. )
It's a simple cocktail, but even the name says what kind of drink it really is. You can’t expect to put vodka in something and not have it come back to you later regretting you ever messed with it in the first place. Even if it sounds innocent with pineapple juice as an ingredient.
(So that was Fang, hm? Jules considers that for a moment, before picking up her empty wine glass from a few rounds ago and tapping on it to get Em’s attention, before returning her focus to Gabrielle. )
Oh, she sounds... ( Alarming? ) Interesting! And so does Aya, actually. I’ll clearly have to start broadening my social circle.
( Because, even for Jules, travelling to another world has been jarring, and she has spent a great deal of time drinking in the library, writing, and drinking at Seventh Heaven. Running into people with wings was still a bit of an experience, so to speak, even if she wasn’t throwing her alarm out there. Speaking of people with wings-- )
Then we have Zenobia, with Between The Sheets, Mami with a Lemondrop. . . you know, I don't think I've met her, either, but anyone associated with vodka-based drinks in a martini glass has to be a good egg. ( And then she’s looking at the list. ) We're still a far cry from figuring out a drink for everyone, though.
No, you're right... (Gabrielle rests her chin in her hand, glancing down at the list for a moment. ) There's a lot of people that aren’t on here-
( She pauses for a moment, looking at Jules. The expression on her face reads like she’s just come up with a brilliant idea. )
What about the Queen? I mean... she’s certainly someone to talk about.
( Ah, and here is her wine, being handed to her off-screen. When she leans back into view, she is very happily swirling the glass. Who says mixing drinks is a bad idea? Amateurs!
She is simultaneously tipping some wine back and arching an eyebrow at that question. ) The Queen? We might end up blacklisting a perfectly nice drink so that no one gives it a chance ever again. ( No, no that just won’t do. )
What's the worst drink you've ever had?
( There is a passing mischievous glance when Jules accepts the red wine; the corner of her lips curl just a bit, but she doesn’t say anything.
For now, at least. )
Back in LA, I went to this bar. It was something with one of my co-workers- ( She dismisses the details with a wave of her hand. ) There was this godawful drink there. It was called Hot Sauce- which, by the name alone you can already tell it’s going to be pretty disgusting-but this had Tabasco, Guinness, Absolut, and Worcestershire sauce. The rim of the glass has celery salt, and it’s served with a lemon and pepper. ( Gabrielle frowns a bit just thinking of it. ) I’m not very sure what made me try it... but the minute I did, I knew it was one of the biggest regrets of my life.
( And from her... that’s saying a lot. )
( Cue Jules’ eyebrows raising a bit. ) So it’s. . . forceful and deeply unpleasant, but they still think it’s fit to serve?
( The look of mild disgust turns to one of amusement. ) That sounds rather spot on, actually.
( ooc: Jules & Gabrielle are both up for action threads if your character is at Seventh Heaven, too, although to keep it simpler and to avoid remembering tagging order and stuff, feel free to specify which one of them you'd like to actionspam with, or if you don't mind which. )

action. ( LMAO )
She doesn't really speak to them while the Vine is on, either, just readying another drink for them, shaker in her hands - quite professionally handling it, too. She was a bit out of practice when it came to so many cocktails, but thanks to Jules, Gabrielle, Reno and Rude, well, that problem had been solved. ]
Your knowledge of alcoholic beverages is astonishing. [ She twirls the shaker before pouring its contents into a cocktail glass, sliding it to Gabrielle. ] You're going to scare costumers away.
action. ( COULDN'T RESIST JJKFDFJ )
Tipping back the last of her-- goodness, how many was it now? the last of her wine, at any rate, she holds it out hopefully to Em. ) Devising signature drinks for people is hardly going to scare them away. It's an amazing compliment, actually.
( In fact, she grins. ) I'll have a Me, if I may.
action. (JULES HAS A BIG GAY CRUSH ON YOU EM)
When you have time and patience to learn the names and types of cocktails, it really comes in handy for moments like this. In fact, I think people's curiosity about the drinks they are would bring even more customers to your bar... [She raises the glass to her lips, then pauses.] Well, the ones who can drink, at least.

Inventive way to pass the time you've invented, there. I'm not sure what's in a Metropole, Gabrielle, but I do like the name!

I'll have to try this "between the sheets." It sounds like the most romantic drink on the list, too.
