Gingerbread Coffin [Action/Video]

[Zenobia had just wanted to take another swim, but after avoiding a wildcard effect for so long, she's been hit with a doozy. All of her limbs have been replaced with copies of the wing on her shoulder, and it takes much effort and luck for her to get back to the beach. There is a flurry of seven wings as she tries to propel her way forward, but she's not getting very far for her efforts. The vine is recording the whole thing.]

Hey, can anyone hear me? The water's cursed me. I'm kinda in a spot, here!

I'm not sure. One of those curses people get. Though this one is rather inconvenient. I apologize if how I look now is upsetting.

It's...not really. Yukari's stupid gaps look more unsettling, really.

I don't think I've met anyone named Yukari yet. But that sounds interesting.

No, it doesn't hurt, really, but it feels extremely weird. Like, I keep thinking that I'm supposed to have arms. And then I try to move them and then these wings just flail about instead.

She was here for a while, but I think she's gone now, that stupid old hag.

That is...really quite inconvenient. Probably the worst bad effect from curses I've seen in this place.

...Maybe because I swam in the ocean a bunch of times. I thought maybe I was just immune or something, but maybe I was just building a really bad curse after all.

People sure are crazy for the ocean, it seems. Haven't really had an urge to take a swim myself, really.

It's nostalgic for me. I lived near the ocean a long long time ago. I guess this is the last time I take a swim. I guess the lake's safe, but that's not quite the same.

Guess since I lived high in the sky, flying through the air's more naturally to me than swimming. Don't really have many lakes up there, after all, unless you count rainclouds.

And those are kinda taken by all the oarfish youkai, anyway.

As much as I like the sea, I have to concede that flying sounds like a hundred times better. ...Man, if I could fly, this curse wouldn't be such a problem either.

Well, kind of. Most look like humans most of the time, though. But they're really actual oarfish who lived so long they turned into youkai and ascended into the clouds.

Huh, yeah. I wonder if I could fly if I had two wings. That would be really cool. And maybe with two they wouldn't stand out so much thanks to symmetry or something.

Oh, awesome. [Truly, other worlds have some amazing things in them.] Was Yamame like that, only a spider instead of an oarfish?

Think so, though lots of people aren't symmetrical, like the Satori Satori with her third eye. Not here either, though.

Unless she was born a youkai she should be, yep! Never asked her, though, she lives more in hell, while I live in heaven.

I'm guessing your hell is different that the one in my world. [Zenobia isn't sure what 'hell' really is in her world, other than the place that some demons come from.]

Never bothered to look much into hell, mind you. From what I heard, the place closed down a while ago and is now used by a few youkai as a base.

Have you ever fought her before? Is she strong?

Huh... I never thought of hell as a place that could close down. It was described to me as a labyrinth made of flesh where demonic energy flows freely...

...That's right! I forgot to fight her, damn it! I don't know if she's actually strong or not yet.

No, our hell doesn't sound like that at all. But it may be how your local hell is like, it's different depending on the place you're at, after all.

Different areas do, too. The judge of the dead in the region I come from is a different one than the one on the main continent for example, and the people go to a different netherworld too!

I just assumed that someone like you would have plenty of fans and admirers.
