[careful writing appears on the Vine, slowly, a pause after each line. The writer is copying it down from a book, after all.]
[with that, the handwriting grows more confident and natural again, continuing further down the page.]
I found this in a book in the library...and a lot of other things like it. Is it some kind of puzzle? What does it mean?
If recollecting were forgetting,
Then I remember not.
And if forgetting, recollecting,
How near I had forgot.
And if to miss, were merry,
And to mourn, were gay,
How very blithe the fingers
That gathered this, Today!
Then I remember not.

[voice] oh yes ;)
A--....Axel!? You're back!
[voice] haha yes!
[Why is some kid suddenly yelling about car parts?]
[voice] --> [video]
[she waves frantically at the Vine to get it to open a mirror, and it shows...what must look like to Reno a little girl in a hooded coat.]
Who? Sorry, kid, got no idea who you are.
Y-you're...you're not...Axel. But you sound just like she did...a-and you have red hair...who are you?
Good job, you know your colors.
Name's Reno.
Reno. I'm sorry. I...thought you were my friend. She disappeared...
H-hey, don't get upset.
You don't gotta apologize because you thought I was your friend, it's cool.
[she fidgets a bit.]
Sorry, what...were you saying about the book earlier?
Yeah, uh-- [What had she been saying? Oh, right. The poem.]
I was saying don't bother with it. Poems. Waste of time.
They are? Why?
You know why people read and write poems? To seem smarter than they are. Why bother sitting around with poems when you could be getting shit done?
I guess so. But I always thought writing was useful. That's why I keep a diary.
I never said writing wasn't useful. I said poems are a waste of time. As a matter of fact, I'm thinking about writing my autobiography one day.
