I found this in a book in the library...and a lot of other things like it. Is it some kind of puzzle? What does it mean?

Seems like it. I've met a girl here who's a guy in my world. Some alternate reality thing.

You know why people read and write poems? To seem smarter than they are. Why bother sitting around with poems when you could be getting shit done?

Yeah, the chick here said I was a guy in her world, too. [She laughs, amused anew at the thought of guy Reno.]

I never said writing wasn't useful. I said poems are a waste of time. As a matter of fact, I'm thinking about writing my autobiography one day.
