Carnival: Babel [Action/Video]

[Zenobia is back at the Ferris Wheel.] Damn, still nobody here.

[She takes some time to study the ride, playing with the doors on the cars, and generally messing around. She quickly gets bored and goes over and turns on the vine.]

Hello! It's Zenobia here, and I was hoping someone out there would be willing to do me a little little favor. You see, I'm very interested in how this odd construction works [points to the Ferris Wheel behind her] but it apparently will not start without a second person to ride it.

I don't really have anything to give as compensation, but if someone would help me out, I'd owe you [grins] a favor.

It's one of the best foods ever invented. [She laughs once more.] I guess that means I'll have to take you out for cheesecake sometime, then.

Oh wow, that sounds fantastic. [Zenobia is totally down with Gabrielle being her guide to all the great stuff she's yet to experience. Especially if this means dates.] You seem to be very knowledgeable.

I'd like to know more about you, Gabrielle. [She leans in closer.] I don't think I've ever met anyone like you.

[It's obvious to Gabrielle that already this girl seems to be interested in her, but she goes along with it. It's been awhile since she's had anyone flirting with her. It's been awhile since she's had this much fun herself. In full control if the situation, she decides to tease the girl—all in good fun.]

Me? [She presses her lips into a smile again, the hand of her free arm touches her scarf.] There's really not much to me, I'm just a military sniper who used to be a part of SWAT.

[Zenobia looks a little confused as she takes this in.]

Military? So you're a warrior? What's a sniper?

[She laughs at the 'warrior' statement.] I suppose you could say that. I'm not completely military, but I've worked with SWAT before I was chosen to work for a government organization.

A sniper is someone who uses long-distance shooting for targets. Say there is someone who is on the battlefield using hand-to-hand combat, or even short-distance combat with handguns or machine guns. You can take out an enemy with a sniper rifle, depending on how far you are, to help the person in the short-distance combat.

[Handgun... Machine guns.... Sniper Rifle... Zenobia doesn't know what these are. Are they like crossbows? She's not sure, and the puzzlement shows on her face. But she's on a date, and finding out more about this woman takes priority over these smaller issues.]

Wow. That sounds amazing. You must be very skilled.

[She laughs.] You could say that. I'm very high up in my job, but it was a lot of hard work to get there. It definitely didn't happen overnight...

It was worth it, though.

[Zenobia nods.] You're a very impressive woman. It seems that you're both strong and yet refined, and it seems like you know a lot more than I do. I hope we can be friends. [And maybe more...]
