Issue #2 [Video/Action?]

[The Vine flickers on just in time to catch one of the robots stumbling back into view, metal arms pinwheeling. Rico launches herself in a moment later, swinging out with that cyborg arm of hers to strike the machine in the chest with a teeth-rattling blow. If it had teeth.]

Ay, cabron!

[There's a large gash obvious on her face, curling from just below her nose and all the way across the right side of her face, up to slice her ear nearly in two. She's got more cuts on her arms, and red blooms across her wifebeater. But if it's slowing her down, she's not showing it. Instead she punches the robot again, this time with her flesh hand. Blood smears on dented steel from where the skin breaks on her knuckles.

Then she throws up her metal hand in an uppercut, and the robot's head snaps back and breaks, small gears spinning through the air in all directions as they're wrenched free. It collapses back to the ground, and Rico just stands there, panting heavily. There's murder in her good eye, and her teeth are peeled back in a sneer, blood smeared over them.

Before your eyes, though, you can probably see some of those cuts knitting together and shrinking, even though the blood remains. She licks around her teeth, then spits down on the robot. It comes out pink, naturally.]

Fucking stay down. Y chinga a tu madre. Asshole.

[Then she glances over at the mirror, scowling.]

Wanted a fucking peepshow, huh? Well you can choke on it.

[another robot comes flying in. Well, it starts off flying, but the verb quickly changes to 'rolling' as it hits the ground. It's not dead yet, though, struggling to get back up to its feet despite busted clockwork and dented metal]

[The woman who sent it flying comes after it, her face set in a hard mold. Jolyne pulls with her left hand, and the robot is tugged back into the air by invisible strings, arcing through the air towards it]

ORA!

[With a mighty cry she intercepts its flight with her fist. It Rico were psychichly inclined she would have seen a blue humanoid figure appear behind Jolyne, overlapping her fist with its own. Either way, though, the result is one robot that is officially down for the count]

Goddamn machines. I miss punching people.

[Rico isn't particularly psychic, though, so all she sees is the somewhat unimposing blonde leveling a robot with one punch. It's enough to make her whistle in approval, eyebrows raised. This one she's going to have to keep her eyes on, clearly.]

That's a hell of a punch. Bet people don't stay up long.

[she shakes her hand out, wincing a little. She can feel whatever her Stand - the blue thing - feels, and just because it can dent steel plate with a punch doesn't mean it doesn't sting when she has to]

Yeah, it does its job. You don't look too bad yourself.

Oh, I'm human alright. The extra muscle comes from my Stand. And I'm gonna guess that you have no idea what that is.

Yeah, that's been the pattern so far.

You can't see it unless you got one, and I'm not too good with the theory side of it. I think it's like...your spirit projecting itself into the real world? They call it that 'cause it's always standing behind you, see.
