[The Vine flickers on just in time to catch one of the robots stumbling back into view, metal arms pinwheeling. Rico launches herself in a moment later, swinging out with that cyborg arm of hers to strike the machine in the chest with a teeth-rattling blow. If it had teeth.]

Ay, cabron!

[There's a large gash obvious on her face, curling from just below her nose and all the way across the right side of her face, up to slice her ear nearly in two. She's got more cuts on her arms, and red blooms across her wifebeater. But if it's slowing her down, she's not showing it. Instead she punches the robot again, this time with her flesh hand. Blood smears on dented steel from where the skin breaks on her knuckles.

Then she throws up her metal hand in an uppercut, and the robot's head snaps back and breaks, small gears spinning through the air in all directions as they're wrenched free. It collapses back to the ground, and Rico just stands there, panting heavily. There's murder in her good eye, and her teeth are peeled back in a sneer, blood smeared over them.

Before your eyes, though, you can probably see some of those cuts knitting together and shrinking, even though the blood remains. She licks around her teeth, then spits down on the robot. It comes out pink, naturally.]

Fucking stay down. Y chinga a tu madre. Asshole.

[Then she glances over at the mirror, scowling.]

Wanted a fucking peepshow, huh? Well you can choke on it.

I don't know that I could. Choke, I mean. Unless I tried chewing on the Vine, I suppose.

Tch. Cute. I figured it was the Queen watching, though. This is one of her fucking games, ain't it?

[The battle is not interrupted, but a bright light suddenly shines nearby. It seems to be coming from a woman who is slowly dropping from the sky. She regards Rico gravely as she lands.]

This violence is not necessary. Please. Stop this.

[another robot comes flying in. Well, it starts off flying, but the verb quickly changes to 'rolling' as it hits the ground. It's not dead yet, though, struggling to get back up to its feet despite busted clockwork and dented metal]

[The woman who sent it flying comes after it, her face set in a hard mold. Jolyne pulls with her left hand, and the robot is tugged back into the air by invisible strings, arcing through the air towards it]

ORA!

[With a mighty cry she intercepts its flight with her fist. It Rico were psychichly inclined she would have seen a blue humanoid figure appear behind Jolyne, overlapping her fist with its own. Either way, though, the result is one robot that is officially down for the count]

Goddamn machines. I miss punching people.

Enough. They may be fuckin' clumsy, but they don't need a beat down.

[That light is not something she expected, and Rico regards the woman who emerges warily, tensed up and ready for action. People who drop from the sky tend to be trouble, more often than not.]

Not necessary? [She'll let out a bark of laughter.] You see what they did to my face?

[Rico isn't particularly psychic, though, so all she sees is the somewhat unimposing blonde leveling a robot with one punch. It's enough to make her whistle in approval, eyebrows raised. This one she's going to have to keep her eyes on, clearly.]

That's a hell of a punch. Bet people don't stay up long.

[Rico narrows her eyes when she sees the woman with a pack of robots at her back. She's paranoid and hyped up enough to wonder if this woman is the one responsible for the invasion, at least briefly.]

Clumsy? No, you bump into someone on the street and say sorry, you're clumsy. You try to carve my face open, you stop fuckin' moving.

I'm very sorry you were injured, but they only attack people when attacked first. They are defending themselves.

They are difficult to communicate with, but it is possible. They have consciousness. It's not necessary to destroy them.

The Queen's bullshit's obviously brought them here, just like us. We're the smarter beings here, we can figure out a way to march them back that isn't in pieces.

[The violence doesn't even faze Loly. She does raise an eyebrow curiously when she notices the cuts healing themselves.]

Your cuts are fixing themselves. High speed regeneration?

[Loly isn't the least bit bothered by the fighting, the blood, the robots, or Rico's language. Priorities. She has them.]

[ America was watching with excitement. ]

Wow! Are you interested in being in movies?

[she shakes her hand out, wincing a little. She can feel whatever her Stand - the blue thing - feels, and just because it can dent steel plate with a punch doesn't mean it doesn't sting when she has to]

Yeah, it does its job. You don't look too bad yourself.

Who do you think you are, Wonder Woman? You're gonna break your fucking hand.

Well excuse me for jumping to conclusions when a robot with knife-arms comes at me. In my experience, that's not a good sign.

What, you talk to robots?

Yeah, well, I got metal backing me up. What kind of power are you packing? You're not just human, I know that for fucking sure.

[Seeing them looking decidedly peaceful, Rico crosses her arms across her chest and maybe decides to listen a little more. Just a little.]

Yeah, I figured it was the fucking Queen. But, what, we're just supposed to ask politely?

[At the question, Rico glances down at her arm, smearing blood away from where a cut was. It's gone, just a pale line of skin across her bicep. Soon even that will have vanished.]

Yeah, something like that.

...Movies? What do you mean? [Rico has to wonder if this is a come on.]

Pff, broken bones ain't shit. You see this? [She points at her cheek.] I don't stay down for long.

Yeah, that might do it. They're not very smart, but if you're calm with 'em, they're calm.

I don't judge you for your actions. As you say, your response was understandable. I merely wish to explain that these robots can be reasoned with. They can be taught more positive behavior. Fighting them only increases their aggression and the danger to others.

Where I'm from, many robots can speak as humans do. I myself am a robot.

Oh, I'm human alright. The extra muscle comes from my Stand. And I'm gonna guess that you have no idea what that is.
