[She really does hate this place. She hates being trapped here and she hates all of the magic.
She. Hates. All. The. Magic.
She especially hates the magic that is making it rain directly above her head. Has been making it rain directly above her head ever since she and Dominique had reemerged from their trek off the beaten path in search of magic dirt. An expedition which Jackie had only agreed to go on because nothing hideous had happened at the dance.
That would teach her to have a modicum of optimism.
She's soaking wet, dark hair clinging to her face, which obviously bears a sodden and unhappy expression. The vine comes upon her sitting on the steps leading up to Caprica's house; she obviously can't go inside like this, not without making a mess. Jackie just stares at the vine for a moment before her mouth twists and she tells the mirror,]
Would you fuck off?
[She wraps her arms around herself miserably, huddling into herself.]

No, that's all right.
I'll just be bothered.

Sasha looks at the cloud again and she's just... weirded out by it. It's just so odd to see a thing like so. If she had had a normal childhood, maybe she would have established the parallel connection with a cartoon, alas that is not familiar to her.
She once she's done looking at it, she pulls out her backpack from her shoulders and zips it open, pulling out a large sweater. Rather old, rather dirty (much like Sasha herself, she is in need of a shower), and hands it to Jackie. ]
D-Does this help? [ She's not quite sure it does... ] A litt-tle may-- maybe?
no subject
It's just going to get soaked, you do realize.
no subject
K-Keep it, I guess.
[ She half-mumbles, taking a pack of cigarettes from her jacket and lighting it. It's near the end, has two other left, but she has more inside her bag. She takes a drag before handing it to Jackie, and whether she takes it or not, Sasha will then walk over the nearest tree and sitting down on the thick root that rips through the earth, picking idly at it. ]
I was, hum, g-going to ask for some c-coffee, but tha-- that's okay. [ Wow, that lisp got through her there... ]
no subject
...I'll get some, when I'm less wet.
no subject
Th-Thanks. [ She looks back at the root and picks at it a little more. ]
Have y-you, hm, been here long? [ She closes an eye and scratches at her forehead. ] With, hh, your friends? A-Are they from home?
no subject
We've been here a while.
And I know one woman from home.
no subject
It's almost eerie.
But her attention is on Jackie when she speaks about the woman she knew from home; it's definitely the first person she has personally encountered who has met someone from back home. Keeping an ear on the vine helps in discerning that some people did know each other from back home, but it is not a common occurrence as far as she knows. ]
You do? [ Her eyes widen a little and she stops picking at the bark of the tree's root she is sitting on. ] Did-- Were you b-brought at the same t-time? [ She leans forward a little, clearly interested in this piece of information. ]
no subject
No.
She came later.
no subject
I-- I see.
[ She coughs a little, clearing her throat, and takes a deep drag of the cigarette, as if inhaling all that nicotine and tar and smoke would make it better. Her hands tremble a little by now, and she's playing with the bark a bit more violently, distractedly as well. ]
Did-- Did y-you get a, hm, w-warning or-- or it was, huh, just-- [ She's not even sure what she's trying to say, gets tangled up all the time when she gets nervous; it's as if her brain is too busy handling the paranoia to actually form sentences. She frowns, shakes her head as she rubs her forehead as if trying to get a dirty smear off of it. ] W-What I mean is, did, the vine, show her first? Or, you know, she a-appeared next to you?
no subject
She tried to talk to the Queen on the vine, she's stupid like that.
no subject
[ All right, so there's a possibility that if a monster does end up in this place, she will hear them before they hear her (especially given how little Sasha actually uses the Vine). She seems a little less tense, but the rat-like nervousness is still there.
She finishes the cigarette, flicking it away from them and looks at Jackie for a second, before turning her head to the house, as if waiting for someone to get out and come pick up the wet woman. ]
Do you th-think they're home?
no subject
Dom is up there.
no subject
Scratching her wrists nervously, Sasha ends up standing up, picking up her tattered and dirty backpack, putting it on her shoulder. ]
Maybe you sh-should go, huh, ask their h-help. [ A pause. ] I should-- [ And she points at some random direction; she doesn't really have anywhere to go, but Jackie probably needs to go inside and Sasha doesn't want to go anywhere were there are people. ]
no subject
You should tell me your name.
no subject
It's, hm, I'm Sasha. [ Just Sasha, that's all she knows, really. Amnesia and all of that. There's some hesitation. She thinks she knows Jackie's name, being such a nosy thing always keeping an eye on the Vine, but she's pretty sure it would bother anyone to know their name before they presented it. It's always like that, anyway. ] Y-You're...?
