[Chocolates were supposed to be harmless, weren't they? So it was something else making her feel like this, all warm and needy and stupidly French. Tabernac. Home, it would be easy enough to get rid of this feeling. There were always things to do -- sports or even just going for a long walk in the snow. And so that's why Maggie's in a stream. Not on the bank or floating down it or anything like that, just standing there with water up to her knees, the bottom of her skirt wet from every time she bends over to pet one of the colourful fish in the stream.

Oh. Well... Some spirits, I understand! My original peoples believed in animal spirits that we don't really see much of. And various religions have deities. We Nations aren't quite the same, though... Oh, I wish Japan were still here. I'm sure she could explain this so much better.

I'm not. I... I mean, my body works generally the same way: I get headcolds and papercuts and things like that, but it doesn't really make as much of a dent in my life as it might for a human. Ermm... and my body usually gives me a pretty good sense of how my people are, and my lands. Which isn't exactly a human trait.
