❄ 2 | action
[Chocolates were supposed to be harmless, weren't they? So it was something else making her feel like this, all warm and needy and stupidly French. Tabernac. Home, it would be easy enough to get rid of this feeling. There were always things to do -- sports or even just going for a long walk in the snow. Nothing like piles and piles or snow or a good shootout to get your mind off of dirty things.
And so that's why Maggie's in a stream. Not on the bank or floating down it or anything like that, just standing there with water up to her knees, the bottom of her skirt wet from every time she bends over to pet one of the colourful fish in the stream.
She's well aware it's not dignified in the slighest but honestly, the thoughts in her mind right now need to go.]

[And she can't help but turn as Canada gets up--and has a marvelous close-up view of said legs that she keeps oggling--huuuur]
[Eyes up, Kenshin!]
[This actually gets a small half smirk.]
Are you shy, Maggie-san...?
[This was a fairly silly question--considering Kenshin herself was still flushed like it was going out of style--but she was more than used to the concept of public bathing--even if she'd never actually participated for obvious reasons.]
[Still, she rose herself, lifting her sword and placing it back in her belt.]
But a deeper water would be better, ne?
[Yes... deep... cold... water. Cold water. Cold water. AH HA HA HA HA...]

And, and...

It is... generally different when we're all women... [that... seemed... so incredibly bizarre to say out loud. What next? Would she dress in a woman's kimono and try to tie an ornate obi?]
[Kenshin didn't really know what had come over her that day. Normally she avoided other people like the plague if she could help it. Having curt conversations was the norm for her if she had to speak at all. Even with Tomoe she had never blatantly flirted ever... at least not before Otsu. And before Tomoe? Well... needless to say she had neither the reason nor opportunity to even think along these lines.]
[And whatever this drive was, it kept her following the other woman, caught somewhere between looking bashful and almost predatory.]

Mm, I suppose you've got a point there. Still...

[She just laughs very lightly.]
Well... I think public bathing amid the same gender is... more accepted where I come from.

Ah, it used to be more common among my people, but I think imperialism sort of killed my being alright with it, on the whole. Which is ironic, considering I don't think Maman actually has a problem with it. Umm. France, I mean. My mother.

[She pauses at that name... France. France she recognized as a European country. For a moment her befuddlement over Canada's explanation of being a country returned... considering Kenshin recognized that name...]
[But she didn't say more, not this time.]

[Kenshin smiles a little, eyes trailing the movement of her fingers.]
I see...

[that might have been a bit rude to ask--and considering how she was thinking of this to begin with it would make both of them... somewhat timeless... but...]
[ooc; e__e Kenshin's dead wife is haunting you Maggie...]

Aa... I see...
[ooc; lol, I wasn't paying attention XD;;;]

Ha ha, I guess I shouldn't tell you how old China is then, eh? ... Are you alright?
no subject
Aa... I'm fine...

[She'll just... follow along again... yep...]
[ooc; and bed for me /o/]

This does look a bit more fitting.
[ooc; sorry, RL ate me there for a bit @@]

[Ah yes... that... undressing part...]
[Ironically the stressful part in this for her isn't the undressing part--it's the revealing clearly any doubt that yes, she is, in fact, a woman.]
[But it wasn't so much further off than when she'd been dragged out of the rapids and left to wait for her belongings to dry on the shore.]
I haven't been swimming since I was a child... [not that being half drowned in a waterfall by her shishou really counted as 'swimming'...]

I can still swim... I just haven't done so deliberately since then...
[She watched Canada pull her hair up while her own hands went to the ties of her hakama.]

[She can't help watching as the top is removed, the color returning to her cheeks. Kenshin notes the scars. He was more than a little used to seeing scars on men, on other women it was different, certainly.]
[She stepped out of her hakama, her kimono still covering most of her as she folded the fabric.]
