[Tifa's kneeling down by her flower, humming softly to it. She straightens up, smiles at the mirror, and waves. Her mood seems much better than it had been at her arrival.]

Hi everyone. I've heard that people are able to make things here. Ah...I was wondering. [She tucks a lock of hair behind her ear--the movement is oddly self-conscious.] Can anyone teach me how? I'd like to build something.

As far as I can tell, you need soil from the wild places — outside the border of the Gardens.

[ Caprica pauses a moment, thinking, then adds, ] To be honest, I created what I did by accident. I think simply thinking about what you want while you have some of the soil makes it happen.

[ She doesn't sound or look totally certain, but it's the best way she can describe the process as it worked for her. ]

Soil, hmm. And all you have to do is...imagine what you want? [She taps the ground near her feet, considering this.] I'll try that, thank you.

First you need material.

Once you have the right material – soil from outside of the Garden's borders – it's just a matter of using your imagination. It's sort of like magic, if you know how to do that. Either way, it's very easy. I made this armour for myself—[ ]

I'd be happy to bring you the relevant materials, ma'am.

[She looks surprised at the armor, and when she speaks again, she sounds a little awed.] That's amazing.

Oh, no, you don't have to do that. But...hm. Maybe you could be my guide there?

I... I didn't come up with it on my own. It's based on something I used to have. The concept isn't even mine.

[ ] I'd be happy to. I hear things can get dangerous, the further away from the Gardens you get. It's best for us to stick together.

That you were able to create it from memory like that, even with help...that's impressive. [She smiles, in an encouraging sort of way.]

So I've heard. I'd appreciate the help, especially from someone who knows their way around this place.

[ ] Thank you. I'm glad you think so.

Hello, Tifa. Sorry if I kept you waiting.

[Tifa's spent most of her time in the gardens shadowing Aerith, too uncomfortable to leave her alone and too uncomfortable to be left alone, for that matter. She's beginning to relax though, or reach something close to it, and relaxing for too long has always made her restless. An adventure, even a small one, sounds like a good distraction. She returns Aqua's wave, and smiles.]

Hi, Aqua. [And she shakes her head.] No, you didn't keep me waiting. Thank you for your help.

It's no problem. [ ] So I suppose we can just... pick a direction, and start heading in it. The magic dirt seems to be just about everywhere, once you head away from the Gardens.

All right. [Magic soil..this is such a strange place. Tifa wonders if the Lifestream is here too. It would certainly explain a lot. She makes a mental note to ask Aerith about it later.

She hums, considering, and then turns north, pointing ahead.] How about this way?

I'm sure that'll be fine. [ ] Sorry. I'm already getting ahead of myself. I'm sure there won't be too much danger ahead.

[When Aqua falls to walk beside her, Tifa nudges her shoulder with her own. It's an attempt to get her to relax.] It's fine. Don't worry about it. [Tifa's steps are easy, confident, but she slows a little when Aqua mentions danger, and her movement is more cautious.] There's danger further out?

[ ] That's right. Or at least, that's what I've heard. I don't think there are any Unversed out there – oh, I'm sorry – monsters out there, but I've been told that unpleasant things do tend to happen.

Unversed? [Tifa's watching her footing, avoiding fallen tree branches here and there. She moves very quietly, with a practiced sort of ease, and she's still relaxed, but alert.] Creatures from your world, I'm guessing. [In Gaia, they'd had monsters, but she knew better than to assume that every world was the same, including this one.] What kinds of unpleasant things?

Not just my world. The Unversed were slowly making their way to all of the worlds—they're creatures who feed on negative energy. [ ] And I was told that there's magic out there that causes temporary transformations. Either to the way you look or speak.

That sounds terrible. There was something like that on the Planet, not too long ago. [The Geostigma had been like that, hadn't it? Seeping into the water and infecting those who'd given up...

She watches Aqua move, but averts her attention after a moment, not wanting to be caught staring.] That's... [She wants to say "ridiculous," but it's not outside of the realm of reason, in this place.] Is any of it dangerous?

[ U-Uwah, making things! Birdie is excited about that. ]

What will you build, what, what?

Umm... [Tifa would say "a bar," but this girl seems so young.] I plan on building a restaurant.

[ She blinks. Then smiles, leaning forward, arms behind her back. ]

To serve food and drinks, is it, like an inn?

[She nods and smiles in return.] That's right. I owned one, where I'm from. It'd be nice to have something like that for everyone, don't you think so?

Yes, yes! Very nice! [ She bounces a little, clapping once. ] I'd like to see that, I would.

Good! [Tifa leans in, and whispers conspiratorially, like she's telling a secret.] So, will you be my first customer?

[She was technically telling the truth about a restaurant, after all. She won't just be serving drinks.]

[ Bright eyes grow bigger as she leans in in such secretive tone, and she mimics Tifa, leaning in as well, then she smiles, laughs a little bit. ]

Yes, please, yes. [ She scrunches up her nose while smiling, shrugging her shoulders slightly. Not that she's much of an eater, being a bird and all. ]

I'll be sure to remember that. What's your name?

It's Birdie, I'm Birdie, that's what Paddy and Blackie call me, yes, yes. And you, tell me, please?
