first - [video]
--now don't get impatient with me.
[the mirror shows...a hand at first. It's resting on another part of the Vine, tanned, the knuckles crossed by faint scars. Then the woman crouches, coming into view. Plain clothing in shades of brown, her hair tied loosely over her shoulder, she doesn't seem particularly remarkable. She regards the mirror with interest, however, and for those who notice these kinds of things, her eyes are very sharp.]
You're a vain, cheeky thing. I wasn't interested in showing off to everyone else. But you just can't wait, hmm? Impatient.
[despite her words, the woman's voice is warm, with a tinge of fond exasperation. There doesn't seem to be anyone else around that she's talking to, unless...]
[she runs her fingers down the length of vine, fingering a leaf gently before letting go. Those watching closely might notice a spark of pale green light at her fingertips, which vanishes almost immediately.]
Oh, stop that... [this is murmured, as she leans around to peer at the backside of the mirror, curiously.] I was just taking a look. I won't hurt you. Yes, yes. You're beautiful. She put quite a bit of love into you...and this place. Didn't she, the Queen.
[at this she looks up, straight into the mirror, her gaze fixing on whoever has appeared there.] What do you think?
[her lips quirk into a smile, but it doesn't quite reach her eyes.]
Love doesn't always get the job done, though.
[ooc: whoops I always forget tags. Feel free to action if you'd like, and for those who missed it her permissions post is here.]

[She reaches up to touch the vine herself, concentrating for a moment, but she isn't really well trained enough to sense the subtleties.]
I wonder how new, then. If she built it for the people she's brought here, or before.

She's building a world.

Still, that doesn't mean she should be inviting them without their permission.

She can't keep us here forever.

Nothing lasts forever, dear. You can be sure of that.

[there might be a slightly wistful tone to her voice, but it vanishes quickly.]
I'd like to say I've found a way out...but I'm still working on it.

[She nods.]
It's alright. People have been looking for a way out for months.
