action ☆ America, Ema and Ramona!

[ America is snuggled into the sleeping bag as much as she can possibly be. It's too damn cold where is the Sun.

She groans, tossing and turning, eventually grabbing onto the nearest person. She has not yet noticed that there is not supposed to be a person there... Or, in fact, two. But hey, she has people who will listen to her complain! ]

Someone turn the Sun back on, OK?

[Ema is similarly Not Happy with the sudden freezing temperatures. Two years of living in Europe have not eliminated her thin-blooded southern Californian roots; this level of cold is not a pleasant sensation by any means.

Since she's still half asleep, she curls into the nearest source of heat, which just so happens to be a human body. Guess who's in the middle of the sleeping bag with a woman clinging to each side of you, Ramona? XD]

[identity profile] exmarksthe.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[Ramona doesn't even notice the cold at first as she stirs. Her waking brain does notice the weight of limbs across her body, however. Her first muzzy reaction?]

Mmmrg, Scott, g'toff. Gotta go to work...

[Notices a second or two later that both the limbs and the body warmth are coming from two different sides.

Also, boobs. Pressing up against her arms.

She blinks her eyes open and turns her head to one side, then the other. A blonde on one arm, a brunette on the other. Maybe this would be hot to some (and it still kind of is, despite what Ramona will try to tell herself), but right now, this is not what she wants to wake up to. This is especially true when one of these girls is someone she's only just started getting to know, and the other is batshit crazy.]

[Groans to self.]
Thanks, Queen of Bitches. Love you too...

[Attempts to extract herself from the mess of tangled limbs around her. Finally notices the freezing cold when she's about half-done.]

...Shit.

[identity profile] stalker-science.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
[Ramona's disentangling herself from the other two is enough to jostle Ema awake. Once she realizes she's in a sleeping bag with not one but two other women--one of whom is a total stranger!--she quickly scrambles out of it.

It's a decision she instantly regrets. It's cold!]

I-I-I-I-I think we should pick somewhere warmer next time.... [Shivering violently makes talking a bit difficult.]

[identity profile] exmarksthe.livejournal.com 2010-12-23 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
So sorry. I'll take the temperature into account the next time we're randomly thrown into bed together without warning.

[Shivering with the best of 'em now. At least she appears to be sleeping in her clothes and not her sleepwear, because upon looking around, she doesn't see her bag anywhere in sight, meaning a change of clothes is not an option. Strangely, she does see her Giant Hammer and Titanium Baseball Bat both propped up in a corner, both those are the only possessions of hers around. A surge of panic seizes her over this fact for a moment before she tells herself that whatever happened to it, she probably can't do much about it until they figure out what's going on.

Despite her instinct to get back into the sleeping bag and never come back out as long as it's this cold, she stays sitting up for now, dealing with the shivers.]

You guys remember anything weird happening before you went to sleep? Because I don't.

[Ema, unfortunately, has no weapons. But she's wearing a lab coat! That counts for something, right?]

I don't remember anything, either... I just woke up and here you two were. This isn't even where I went to sleep last night.

[After a pause, she turns to the blonde.]

I'm Ema. What's your name?

[identity profile] exmarksthe.livejournal.com 2010-12-24 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
A kidnapping within a kidnapping? Isn't this getting a little meta now? [Small, wry grin.]

[Reluctantly after Ema's introduction.] And I know you already, but I don't think you ever caught my name. I'm Ramona.

[Takes a breath to brace herself, then forces herself to get out of the sleeping bag, at least for now.] Hooooly balls it's cold. [There's a door on the wall. She checks behind it. Just a bathroom. The windows look more like framed versions of the classic "polar bear in a snowstorm" picture than an actual view outside right now. Ramona pulls her hoodie tighter around herself, feeling colder just for having seen the snow.]

S-s-some weather we're having.

[identity profile] stalker-science.livejournal.com 2010-12-25 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
[Ema's jaw drops.] You're the United States of America?! How is that even possible, you're not a country--you're a person!

[A person with a very good idea, crawling back into the sleeping bag. Even though Ema thinks you might be a little crazy, she crawls in right next to you, America. It's too cold to sit outside of it.]

[identity profile] exmarksthe.livejournal.com 2010-12-25 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
[Snrk.] You'd almost think she is a person or something.

[Still not entirely willing to accept the whole "countries personified" concept, even with the tentative acceptance of people like Death. Though, she has to admit, with the way "America" acts...

Ramona looks out the window for a little while longer while America and Ema snuggle. She's tempted to go outside and look for a way to get out of here. Then she looks back at the sleeping bag. Then back at the window. Then back at the sleeping bag.

Screw it.]

[Sighs] There room for one more in there?

[identity profile] stalker-science.livejournal.com 2010-12-25 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
There's plenty of room, Ramona! [Ema also scoots a bit in order to make room for her.] We're not really dressed for this kind of cold, so we'll have to do whatever we can to stay warm.

[America, meanwhile, still confuses the hell out of her.] Y-yeah, I'm American. I just still don't understand how you can be a person and a country at the same time. What about your citizens? Don't we live on you? [Ema takes America's arm and pulls up her sleeve, inspecting her skin closely as if she could see tiny people living on it. If she had a magnifying glass, she would be using it at the moment.]

Sorry I've been so slow the past few days guys. D: Only one or two more days of slow, hopefully!

[identity profile] exmarksthe.livejournal.com 2010-12-26 09:50 am (UTC)(link)
[Ramona is plenty sure that the Queen set this up exactly such that they wouldn't have enough to fend off the cold besides their own body heat. Call her crazy, but that's just the sort of thing she expects from a crazy possible-demi-goddess with a thing for flowers, wishing on stars, and tits as far as the eye can see.

Doesn't stop her from getting back into the fucking sleeping bag, though. She gets in behind Ema this time, not wanting to be stuck in the middle this time.]

Thanks...

[Lifts her head, trying to get a look at what Ema is doing with America's arm.]

Oh look, I think I can see my house from here.

Re: it's all good!

[identity profile] stalker-science.livejournal.com 2010-12-27 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
[Ema is similarly disappointed in the lack of houses on America's arm, although scientifically speaking it wouldn't make much sense for them to be there to begin with.

Also, it occurs to her that she is now in the middle of America and Ramona. For some reason, this makes her blush a little.]

That's... really strange. I've never met a country like this before.

What's it like, being a person and a country at the same time?

[identity profile] exmarksthe.livejournal.com 2010-12-27 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
You're accepting this story a little quickly, aren't you?

[Kind of surprised, considering how science-y Ema is otherwise. Then again, the girl is also a teenager, so, yeah, there's that.

With that in mind, the fact that Ramona is practically spooning Ema right now is decidedly more awkward to her.]

[identity profile] stalker-science.livejournal.com 2010-12-28 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a tentative conclusion, scientifically speaking, considering the lack of actual evidence either way. [Shrugs.] Besides, there's weirder in the garden already.

[OH WAIT AMERICA IS CLINGING RATHER TIGHTLY. BLUSSSSSSSH.]

[identity profile] exmarksthe.livejournal.com 2010-12-29 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
Ghuh! [Finds self being pulled into a tight hug with two other women. Suddenly acutely aware of all of Ema's curves and the heat emanating from her body. Awkwaaaard.]

[Said with nose squished up against Ema's shoulder.] Uh, yeah. Adeast d'ere'z dhat.

[identity profile] stalker-science.livejournal.com 2010-12-30 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[Wait, what?]

H-help? How? We're already squished together....

[Unless America is suggesting they strip to share body heat more directly, which... well, scientifically speaking, that would work if they then used their clothes as additional blanketing. But then they would be naked.]
