-Hey kids! It's Goddess Shinki! And she's enjoying the company of tiny robots serving her some delicious and colorful looking sponge cake.-
Hmm... These little golems are quite talented pastry chefs. It's so tastey! I just couldn't help myself~
Oh, Yumeko, dear, I believe we are due for a trip to this library Alice told me about. I've been wanting to gather some new reading material, after all. Bring a satchel.
Also, a query... What IS this Christmas thing I heard whispers of?
-She takes another bite of her cake, giggling.-
[[ Chronologically speaking, the first person she's going to see for the effects of the cake is Yuuka ]]

We can visit the library if you'd like, but... Shinki-sama, are you sure it's wise to eat the food offered there? After the...incident that happened with me...

Though the demon goddess had half offered this youkai help. Reimu had acted on it, but she hadn't been humiliated before by Yuuka, and had some stupid goodie-two-shoes complex despite everything. Shinki had every damn reason to leave her to rot, and she did in the end leave her there, but not before making that offer.
It's enough to get her blood boiling. The last thing she needs in this place is pity.
She doesn't even say anything; she has no way to start off this little game of hers, and she even contemplates simply hanging up... ]

Understand, I did not mean to seem pitying. I wanted to spare your pride.

[ Wait. Something's... off about this. When the hell did Shinki start calling her by her first name? ]

[Sure, there was being courteous, but even in different countries on Earth she knew people knew about Christmas.]

Basically it's a holiday where people gather with their loved ones to celebrate winter-it's half religious, half people looking for an excuse to get together, eat food, and give out and get presents. And you're supposed to be kind to the world and all that, but that tends to get too sentimental for most people to care about.

I don't know about rituals, but as for traditions-you open your presents on Christmas Day itself, the twenty fifth. You also are supposed to kiss people you meet under the mistletoe, and children write notes and leave cookies out for "Santa Claus" [she airquotes this], who is a spirit said to leave gifts for good kids. Some people go carolling as well, which is singing songs about the season while going from house to house hoping people won't tell you to leave.

[... that's one way of putting it.]
And you're supposed to be really nice to everyone.
[can't forget that.]
