[text/action/videro] An Invitation x2/MARIGOLD MADNESS!
[text]
Since the Powers That Be have decided that they want to give us all cavities and diabetes, I am keeping a big pot of stew going at Beaumont for anyone who needs emergency food that is not candy. If I am not there, Bulbasaur or one of the robots will be in charge of it. Do not worry, they are all sanitary. It is free to use so do not avoid it if you do not have food. There are severe health consequences to eating only sugar, which I guess the people in charge do not care about.
-----
Also if there is anybody that needs a place to stay, Beaumont has a lot of rooms open. It is by the lake on the northwest side, and is pretty convenient as far as being close to places. There are some robots here that do the housekeeping stuff. Also you will get a lot of free snacks because I bake a lot. I guess that is not much of a benefit right now but there you go. Pets are OK.
[action/video]
[Hi, Ladygarden residents. Do you like your reality TV to have normally linefaced girls curled up on the ground and crying in the middle of nowhere? Because the Vine has decided that is the hot new thing in entertainment. (The more perceptive viewers might notice she seems less opaque around the edges than usual.)
[After a moment, she notices the mirror broadcasting her. She makes a few awkward attempts to turn it off, then lets her arm flop to the ground.]
Fine. I give up.

Jessica-san...?

...Would you like to go inside?
no subject
I don't care. I don't think I can get anywhere right now. I was supposed to be getting home...

I was walking home from the clinic, and then... everything's just different.
no subject
[A pause.]
Will you at least come inside with me? I'm sure a bed would be more comfortable than the ground.
no subject
That'd require movement. It's OK here. The ground's pretty soft. The leaves kinda tickle.

[With a quick twitch of almost-smile, she sits herself up and wipes her eyes.]
You make it pretty hard to be self-destructive.
no subject
I have been there. I know it's less than pleasant.
no subject
So what're these things?
no subject
Object phantoms, I believe. Since they have no inherent sentience they're useful heavy lifting and such.
no subject
Well, I'm definitely a heavy object. Heavier than I was, anyway.
no subject
[A light clapping.]
They have carried others before.

[Interesting new information: a surefire pick-me-up for Jessica. Literally, in this case.]

[Giggle-giggle.
One of the spirit orbs floats up to Jessica.]
no subject
[She peers at the orb, poking it gently.]

I've seen a couple things kind of like that. Only, uh, they were living things. Formerly. Maybe.
We don't have a lot of solid ghost science where I come from.
Hah, solid ghost.
no subject
[She smiles.]
Ahh, that's a shame.
no subject
Which is kind of bizarre, now that I think about it.
Do I, uh, sit on it, or what?
no subject
Another two fly out slowly.]
Basically, yes.
[The group of them cluster up in a flat formation. Good and big enough to sit oneself upon.]
